Anyone think the delay was so OTE could add footage from recording the new album? Since it'll now be released after the album and OTE has been filming them in the studio, instead of including footage with the CD, they'll add it to the DVD package to help promote the new album as well?

The new album and LALP are coming from two different companies so... I doubt it.
Look at all us freaks cluttering your city streets
Still scalping their ticket-less applause
Spun monkeys on the railroad track, take me to the caine field; I walk along pick my spiderbite
Basically Kyoko Kirigiri

Honestly, I don't understand why they're not waiting Christmas for the release.
Few weeks more or less, what difference does it make ? :yeahright

They forgot that Christmas is the time of the gifts ?? :loser:

I just hope everything is okay in the sound department.

The audio files were corrupted and they are having to re-record the entire concert in studio.  :(

Are you saying this out of some knowledge or is it just pessimistic talk? Because I believe you should specify, to avoid misunderstandings in the readers.

I seriously doubt that.

I'm pretty sure it's a mutation of the rumour that there were problems with the sound quality. "It took longer because there were issues with the sound quality" (itself completely unconfirmed) becomes, "I hope they didn't have to re-record the whole thing," becomes, "They were talking about re-recording the whole DVD over at DTF," becomes, "...They re-recorded the whole DVD?!" becomes, "They recorded the whole DVD."

This is sort of why I wanted to do the fact finder thing, at the top. If that were a fact, it'd be in the finder.

TAC

Well, if they spent the last couple of months rerecording some, half, or all of Luna Park, that would be a pretty hard fact to "find". So we are free to speculate as to why the delay, no matter how ridiculous our theories are.
Quote from: wkiml on June 08, 2012, 09:06:35 AMwould have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Quote from: Stadler on February 08, 2025, 12:49:43 PMI wouldn't argue this.

robwebster

Oh, yeah, speculate all you like! I'm not saying don't speculate, I'm just saying that if you're going to say things like "The audio files were corrupted and they are having to re-record the entire concert in studio :(" as a matter of fact, it's worth trying to trace that thread and ascertain that it is, actually, a matter of fact. Not least cos if it is... I want to know about it!

Words are dangerous, and ideas are hard to kill. I love speculation, but do it responsibly! When a rumour gets codified, it's never one person's fault - I certainly don't think this is Dream Team's fault - but if you're sensing you might be a link in a chain of chinese whispers, never hurts to clarify.

Sorry guys, should have used the green font. I didn't think anyone would take it seriously.

:lol Just be careful what you let lose on DTF, it feed on unconfirmed things and can quickly cause major devastation if not contained immediately!

I made a compilation of their best live songs years ago, that was the title of it.  Funny you say that.

Does that mean the DVD cuts off just before the encore?

I know I'm following the pack here and way behind, but I just read that the DVD will be released on November 5. I'm just glad they've given a solid date. Sooo cannot wait  :tup

Guess who bought a bluray player in April just for watching this...?  :lol Nevertheless it's good that now we should at least be sure about when it's coming. I guess I should buy the Live at Budokan bluray or something else just to check that my player works, I haven't been able to test it yet.  :P

I bought my bluray player about a month ago, in preparation for this. The first disc I bought was Live At Budokan, and I was not disappointed. Great quality in both sound and video.
