I initially set out to write and record vocals/lyrics for three of my favorite Dream Theater instrumental songs. This is my third and final attempt. I sincerily hope you enjoy it ... This song in particular pushed me right to the edge of my singing abilities ...

It was alright, you struggled quite a bit there in the end . Also cheesiest title ever?

I mean I enjoyed a lot but Hells Kitchen would sound good with A Justin Bieber song mixed over it.

Wow, your posts really divide opinions. I think you have a great voice which fits perfectly for this kind of music. But the problem is that you did that misleading title while ago and some stupid posts when you got some "enemies" here. Kinda silly in my honest opinion because your covers are quite good. I mean all is fine if these are posted in the musician forum from now on and title says clearly that it's cover.

But yeah, as I said, quite good, I liked that 'seize the day' section.

Completely agree. I totally made a cock head on myself with my last post. I'm pretty sure I've taken over the number one spot on the ladder of "people I most want to kill or put in a wheelchair". I'm bummed about this because I've turned people off listening to my stuff even before they've listened to my stuff. The general consensus is I'm am asshole. I have apologised for this though.

I struggled at the end because I was lacking breathe in my lungs. I could have re-taken this section and made it perfect but fuck perfect. I look for soul in a take .. not perfection. If people want perfection.. listen to boyband music. Processed, corrected mush.

I agree that Hell's Kitchen is written by the gods, sent by the gods and then the gods decided they wanted to play it aswell!  However to try and write/sing over any type of music ain't easy. Dude if you can mix a JB song over a DT and it sounds good then please send it my direction. Please don't though because to mix shit with pure gold is just wrong.

Just to say that for my first post (ACOS), I actually did post it in the Musicians forum but the moderator moved it to this section.  Hence I just reposted here

So thanks again for listening guys. All comments were appreciated. Good and bad. It's always healthy to get both sides of the argument. I'm flying over to Germany in the coming months to complete the new FrameShift 4 album with Henning Pauly. Definitely something to look forward to!
