What if they decide to always put more stuff on it because there's always something new? Will that mean there will be a 30-box set at the end of their career? Will the box set be a large black monolith with the dimensions 1:4:9?

I just hope the hysteria of the live album coming out after the new studio album dies down by the time the new album comes out, because, well, it's a brand new DT studio album!!!

EDIT: When was the album finished but not mixed during ADToE's creation? With an approximate date I can figure out how much closer or further a single is from being released.

I'd say we're on course for DT 12 to be finished by June 28 again.

Just cause they released the track list and the album title, doesn't mean they were finished with the mix. I'm sure it took two or three weeks to mix ADTOE in it's entirety. They might mix the first single first so it's possible to release it before the whole album mix is finished though. Unlikely, but possible.

That is not synonymous with the last day of recording.

IIRC, the final mix wasn't done until the end of June.

I wouldn't be too sure about that. The only reason they released a single immediately after the album was mixed and mastered was because they had the first show with Mangini in less than a week after the single was released and that they wanted people to know the new song before they played it live for the entire summer festival leg.

We know the band is not playing any shows or festivals at least until the fall, so I see no reason that they have to release a single earlier than the actual release date of the album. That being said, I still expect a single to be released before the actual release of the album, but I doubt the release of the single will immediately follow the mixing/mastering being finished.

Yea, I should have considered the mixing period that I suggested was WAY too short. It is cool that we might get some album information before the mixing and mastering will be finished.

Actually, DT12 and DT 13 should have 11 tracks or songs on it, while DT 14 and DT 15 should have 8. DT 16 should have 6 (to mirror The Majesty Demos). Anything after that...is up in the air!

If I am remembering correctly, Northfield didn't mix ADToE either. I believe it was Andy Wallace.
