Being that this was a two-night stand, they got nearly ALL of the mostly-played songs on the setlist rotation! The only ones missing are "Take The Time" and "Constant Motion", played at other dates on this leg. Anyone hopeful that these two shows might make a good 2-Disc YtseJamRecords release next year? It's about 140 minutes of music (and they have have two performances of the opening and closing songs to choose from!), and if they REALLY wanted to, throw in TTT and CM as "bonus tracks" from other nights on the SA Leg, making it about 157-160 minutes, just enough to fill two CDs!

I wonder why the short sets? These are like PN length, whereas for the SA leg of CiM it was 2 hour+ shows IIRC.

I was expecting two totally different sets
You should calm down. They are quite different, just 2 songs in common.

I am calm, fool :P

Together though, they add up to 35 minutes, so it's a nice chunk of the set. I actually expected one of those cover sets they did before when they did 2 nighters

That's a really good set list.

Yeah, a YtseJam release of two shows with those set lists would be cool, but not likely as Mike have said that there are not going to be any DVD-recordings this tour.

I didn't say DVD... I said CDs, which would be easier to do (just get a good mix from the soundboard) than a DVD recording. And it's a good representation of what they have been playing on this tour, including mash-ups and extended versions of songs.

Certainly NOT before the Maiden leg....
Quote from: wkiml on June 08, 2012, 09:06:35 AMwould have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related

That's not the FIRST time this tour they've done those songs in that order, is it?

I was quite happy to see them play "The Dance Of Eternity / One Last Time / The Spirit Carries On" back-to-back for a couple shows on this leg. That's gotta be the first time those songs have been played together in awhile, right?

Speak for yourself. We have been waiting for four years for another concert, and when they finally come, they play the silent man in a setlist that is less than two hours long? I'd break their hands. Although I think I would still go nuts with hapiness even if they played only vacant, through her eyes and through my words.

Anyone knows why the heck they are playing setlists that short?

I was merely pointing out that it's a strange combination. It's one thing to do TDOE/OLT/TSCO, but going from Erotomania/Voices> TSCO just doesn't fit. I was saying that The Silent Man would be a better choice for flow

2Timer

Actually, I've always thought that TSM needed to be in if Erotomania and Voices were played. To me, it's sort of like a really hot girl giving you head and then stopping right before you get off.

They're playing TSCO more now. I hope we get it in July.

PlaysLikeMyung

As much as I'd like to hear it, it doesn't have the same sound that most Maiden fans are used to. I'd like to hear ITNOG, but it's a bit too long for a 50 minute set

2Timer

At first I didn't think they'd put that in a setlist for Maiden fans, but the more I think of it, at this point in their career, I think they would play pretty much anything they want, without fear that the headliner's fans won't love it. It definitely shows a more melodic side of the band, which I think Maiden fans might actually appreciate.

GuineaPig

Yeah, i think people are pigeon-holing Maiden fans a bit too much.  Me and my buddies are hardcore Maiden fans, and we all love TSCO.

Do we know for sure that DT will be playing for 50 minutes with Maiden? Any idea how long Maiden is playing for?

I think all their shows for PN09/10 were between 90-120 minutes.

They were between 90 and 100 minutes on PN10.

Some of them are longer than that.
The Curitiba, Brazil - 3/18/10 show is about 110 minutes.

It really all depends on the closer.
That Curitiba show has all songs (Mirror/Lie counted as one song) except for AROP that are 10+ mins.
