I'm expecting some different things for Australia
Yeah. I may be wrong but I think it was their first time playing the Civic Theater. That would explains TSCO, CM, PU/M and AIA being on that set.

Yep, first time in NZ. The Oz shows all got most of those songs (I think the Metropolis/PMU medley was the only one that got switched around), so I doubt we'll get those here.

Spacebar.

Am I alone in thinking that is a weird place in the set for As I Am?
Quote from: BlobVanDam on December 11, 2014, 08:19:46 PMHef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

Yeah -- it doesn't blend well with PMU right after it, seeing as both songs are very similar.  But I imagine it's pretty epic following the fade-out feel of TSCO.

Oh, I'm sure it worked out well.  But on paper, it looks kind of weird.

Definitely worked out well. It was just about the right time in the set for it since after OLT and TSCO there was a need for something like that. But I didn't think they'd end up playing it because there'd be no room at the start or then end of the set with all the mandatory songs they'd need to play for their first show in New Zealand. How often has AIA appeared not at the opener or closer of a set?

Hmm, just looking down the Song Count, and this has probably been brought up before, but has a Song Count ever been figured out for their whole career? MP has most set lists on his site doesn't he?

Anybody REALLY bored? lol

Probably not. Chances are when they're done with Australia and South America they will be done for the foreseeable future.

Too tired to post anything else, but was fantastic.

Can't remember the entire PoS set off the top of my head, but the few I remember were Fandango, Ashes and Disco Queen

Will post more tomorrow

BlobVanDam

That setlist is exactly what I was expecting for the Australian shows. Did they play One Last Time with TDOE, or just TDOE?
Hopefully Sydney's setlist won't differ too much from that. I can't wait :tup

TDOE without One Last Time is like eating a hamburger bun without the hamburger.

PlaysLikeMyung

Hm I was hoping they'd play at least one new song for Australia (one that hasn't been played in Europe/America)

For me, it's like a birthday party with no cake.

I like your simile better.

Mladen

I believe it would have worked really good if they went from Dance of eternity right into Solitary shell. Would be interesting.  :)

Can't be done. A guitar change needs to be done and it would not be able to happen.

I thought the Australian shows were going to be around 2h. Or was I mistaken? It seems like around 90 to 100 minutes.
Also wanting a "new song" even though I won't be the one to witness.

ariich

Looks about two hours to me, especially with the two extended versions of songs. Definitely significantly longer than the 90 minute PN shows.

Oh yeah. Completely forgot about it...

Demi Zenith

Yeah, the New Zealand show was over two hours long, once you factor in extended songs and solo spots.

Fantastic show....just back in the gong.

Great setlist of 12.  Jordan's keyboard stuff up didn't hurt at all.  Thumbs up to James tonight, voice was amazing.

So who was at the Sydney show? I wonder if I saw anyone from here. I was at the meet n greet, in case anyone else was there.

Spacebar.

I was there. Probably the only person in the wheel yellow shirt (now signed by MP and JP ). EPIC EPIC EPIC and awesomely good show. Shame JR's riffer didn't work but he made do without. Was sad to see the B rig but it was awesome nonetheless. Crowd was fantastic. DT was on fire (metaphorically). Perfect setlist. Perfect show. Surprised MP didn't talk after the final bow. PoS were also awesome - hadn't listened to any of their stuff before and was plain mesmerised. Their sound mix was a bit off with not enough keyboards but this was very clearly ovepowered by that brilliant singer.

It was good to see a relatively full room by 830. It didn't look like it was sold-out but very near capacity.

Thank you DT for a night/day to remember that involved car accidents whilst travelling between clinics and signings to an awesome awesome show.

My dad went to the sydney show and sent me an email saying that it was one of the best gigs he's ever been to!

Well done.  :tup

Anywho, I have a doubt. Didn't DT have their A-rig last time they went to Australia in the Chaos tour? I recall seeing some Aussie pics from their concerts and seeing MP's 3 bass-drums kit. Or I'm just on acid trip?
