I think the shorter sets have something to do with it. Once you get the standard songs they want in every set out of the way, there's not as much time left for mare varied setlists. Hopefully we'll see some new songs pop up over the next few shows.

Also, what happened to The Silent Man? Why not do the whole A Mind Beside Itself and add a shorter 7 minute song to replace Hollow Years?
Haha, I'm being a dick.

"Everything is never enough. . ."

Jamesman42

Well, now, if they play These Walls at my concert, that'd be even better!

Or how about if they play you?  :heart

Jamesman42

If they did, JR would play my organ and MP would tap my arse and balls.

JP and JMX would just keep playing the rhythm. . .

DarkLord, now is not the time to be luring in new victims.

Holy crap  :omg: I think that explains the whole mustard incident, though..

Fuzzboy

WOW. This was easily the best show I've ever been to.

Honestly, it's hard to describe how good it was. I was slightly to JLB's right , so I had a monitor right in my face with a perfect mix. Everyone sounded beyond amazing. JLB had a few problems, but nothing too bad at all.

I don't remember the exact setlist, so I'll do my best.

ANTR
AROP
Hollow Years
Erotomania
Voices
TCOT
--Encore--
Metropolis Pt. 1

Disappear

Post the bootleg now kthxbye. Anyone know the setlists of the other bands?

Was was their stage production for the tour?  :D

Jp had his cabs and MK V heads (four heads, 8 cabs, probably 6 dummy cabs) painted with the whole BC&SL thing from the festival dates, but besides that, the stage was pretty bare, from what I remember.

What was the intro. Was there a video
Edit: Nevermind it was still Psycho theme.

BlobVanDam

There's already an Erotomania clip up on Youtube from this show. Well, actually the video and audio are so terrible you wouldn't know  :censored

antigoon

Disappointing set. I'm glad they got rid of the silly medleys, but as good as Metropolis is I wouldn't mind not seeing it live for a very long time. Hopefully Erotomania and Voices will get swapped out for other songs.

So I guess the main skeleton is

ANTR
AROP
HY
song X
song Y
TCOT
--
Metropolis (hopefully they change the encore...but they haven't for the past few tours)

Disappear

3 new songs is not disappointing for me. Not by a country mile. Then again I've seen a boatload of their songs live, having seen em on every main tour 2000 and forward. If TCOT was their first song I would seriously leave after 20 minutes a happy man. :metaltard

antigoon

Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy about the 3 new songs (especially TCOT). I was just expecting songs X and Y to be different

Jamesman42

Well, x and y HAVE to be different, since they played Erotomania and Voices at the same venue/show I saw them at last year. I know they wouldn't repeat it twice in a row on purpose. . .although I wouldn't complain. :)
\o\ lol /o/

Disappear

:)

Here is a helpful guide to see what they played last time. I would hope any DT fan would know about this by now, but you never know. :P

What city are you seeing them in? I can then set you up for disappointment ahead of time.  :azn:

Jamesman42

OK, so tomorrow night I'll be at the Hard Rock Live in Orlando. This is the setlist from the show I was at last year of the same venue.

1.  2008: An Ant Odyssey (intro video)
2.  Also sprach Zarathustra
3.  Constant Motion
4.  Never Enough
5.  Misunderstood
6.  The Dark Eternal Night
7.  Erotomania
8.  Voices
9.  As I Am
10.  The Ministry of Lost Souls
~~~encore~~~
11.  Metropolis pt.1 (w/ guitar and keyboard jam)/
12.  Learning to Live (abridged)/
13.  The Crimson Sunset
So, um, I hope they still play Metropolis in full this time like tonight, because the only other times I've seen them live, they've played Metropolis as part of a medley.
I still want to know what the intro tape was-- and was the thunder involved in the opening
Jamariquay
Hm. Prediction for tomorrow night:
Jamariquay
Fine by me. Never liked Pull Me Under that much anyway.
Really, hearing any of the longer songs from I&W would be cool though.
Egoist Hedonist
What about the Medley? Maybe it will be interchanged with Metropolis as encore.
I hope not. I'm sick of these damn medleys. they make me feel so medley schmedley.
anyone know what the intro tape was? psycho?
