My thoughts exactly.

DarkLord_Lalinc

If someone actually know lolhector, tell him to stop being such a tease. Me wants some DT setlist.

For this we should ban girls from DT shows. Forever.

He just said something about a girl
This is not Dream Theater related. Fuck.

A girl? That's not prog related at ALL.

If DT girls actually showed up at DT concerts, we'd have to ban them.

I'm starting to hope we have someone else there from teh interwebs.  Its not looking like we'll hear anything past the epic Hollow Years from this guy.

ResultsMayVary

Yea. Unfortunately i've been unable to find anyone else tweeting, texting, and posting through the internet on phones... :tdwn

Apparently. If someone didn't bootleg this amazing Hollow Years performance, then we missed a great opportunity... ::)

This is almost better than I could have hoped.  I really kinda hope they just stick with this for the whole ProgNation so I won't miss this PERFECT set in Asheville.

Dangerskew

Wow, VERY nice setlist.  I can only hope that it'll be this great next week in Atlanta.

Nic35

Damn. I hpe they wont play Hollow Years, Erotomania and Voices in QUebec City. I want something new

DarkLord_Lalinc

Erotomania and Voices should have been gone by now, they were keepers last year. It's weird to see such a small setlist (Which isn't really small, judging by track lengths  :lol) Awesome set, nevertheless.

OptionalPlayer

I want to say 7 songs is a short setlist, but it's Dream Theater.

BlobVanDam

"Keyboard problems...and can barely hear it sometimes. Sometimes its great"

Uh oh, I hope that isn't my fault, or I'm in trouble :sadpanda:

This is clearly one of the few times in my life that I can say "Phew, I'm so glad I don't work directly with Dream Theater right now"

OptionalPlayer

Also last ProgNation the setlist was much longer. This is very interesting, but man, that's a killer set.

DarkLord_Lalinc

ANTR - 16 minutes
AROP - 8 minutes
Hollow Years - 10 minutes
Erotomania - 7 minutes
Voices - 10 minutes
TCOT - 19 minutes
Metropolis - 10 minutes

That's roughly a 1:20 set.

Let's just hope it's a continuum problem again. That wouldn't be my fault. :lol

I think they've over-played Hollow Years for the past few tours. I would love to see Wither.

Nic35

Hosestly I was hoping to see a much more different set that the past european shows. I wasn't expcting to see Erotomania, Hollow Years and Voices again.

DarkLord_Lalinc

Hollow Years is going to be a keeper for the rest of the tour, that's for sure. It's their new "Surrounded", which was extended and played at almost every show in the Chaos tour.

OptionalPlayer

But Surrounded wasn't really played during the Train of Thought and Octavarium tour either. It was only brought up because of the 15 year anniversary of Images & Words.
I just think there's much more selection. Then again, this is only the first show. Who knows what else will be brought out!

DarkLord_Lalinc

Hollow Years wasn't played in either Octavarium and Systematic Chaos tours. And it wasn't brought up just because the 15 year anniversary, because if that happened, it wouldn't have been such a heavy constant in the past tour's setlists.

I didn't know Hollow Years was played on the Octavarium tour. I thought it was only the ToT tour before that. That is a bit overplayed. There are so many other songs that they need to bring in, like THESE WALLS DAMMIT.
But as you said, this is the first show, and only 7 songs from a master setlist of a lot more than that. Hopefully they bring out some surprises!

DarkLord_Lalinc

Yeah, DT should vary a little more their setlists. I feel the last tours that saw some true variety and surprises were 6DOIT and TOT tours. I'm not complaining or anything, but I knew what to expect from the Chaos setlists, and that wasn't very cool because that's one of DT's best live qualities.

My bad then.

Haha. Feels like it has though. I guess it wasn't on Octavarium, no.
