I think my music *really is* my life. I mean, I have a picture frame with pics of my favourite musicians in them, as if they were family, sitting on my "desk" (cardtable and pullout chair). And I have an even BIGGER picture frame with over 40 pictures of my favourite musicians in them, on my wall (standing on my boa cage) and my door consists of random photos of Dani Filth, Shagrath and Satyr (and a Norwegian flag).
And half of the reason I'm learning Norwegian is to understand my Norwegian guys when they are speaking Norwegian! (Other half is cos I want to move to Norway when I'm older). Everything anyone ever says, I can convert to a lyric. And my desktop is *always* a musician. Not to mention the fact that I'm pretty sure I'm listening to music 90% of my waking day.  :omg:

Nobody I know in my immediate circle likes Dream Theater.  In fact, my enjoyment of the band is a frequent joke when we're all together for coffee or whatever.

I've got similar friends, but I am a meteorologist and I've turned several of my co-workers on to them...began back with Octavarium. Many of my non-work friends are musicians and 5 of us will be at the Minneapolis show in a couple of weeks.   However, I have a small reputation of singing jingles, song fragments or whatever to suit the situation at any given time on any given day, and sometimes this involves DT!  :hat

I've had these moments, but I can't think of any off the top of my head.

Should I turn on my religion?

I don't know, but these demons in my head tell ME to.
Look at all us freaks cluttering your city streets
Still scalping their ticket-less applause
Spun monkeys on the railroad track, take me to the caine field; I walk along pick my spiderbite

I often use "This is too big, I need something smaller" :)

snapple

My mind immediately went in the wrong direction.

Also, whenever I pick up someone I say "get into my car, let's go for a ride"

And I have a few friends named Victoria. I always say they're real. They say "well duh". A month or so ago I met a girl named Victoria at a bar. Well, she was a waitress there. I said "Victoria's real" and she said that she finally feels. I was in heaven. However, she was only aware of the song because a friend had shown her years ago. Either way, she got a tip.

Was she watching and thoughtfully smiling?

You could say: "Hello Victoria, so glad to see you my friend."

Actually, I did that once. She didn't get it, haha.

One time, my dad and I were loading some things into his car, and he was trying to load more than would fit in his car. So i said "dad, you can never have just a part of it, you always need more to get by"

Another_Won

I used these two quotes at separate times.  They were obviously complely lost on the people I said them to.

"Still they keep me between these hollow walls Hoping to find in me The answers to the test that stumped them all"

"An enigmatic union of esoteric thought"

Scorpion

:lol Yeah, I can see how that would confuse the hell out of most other people - they're not even about something that has a big bearing in life (at least not in mine).

The guy at Gamestop told me to check with the other guy cause he was doing, "INVENTORY!"

This reminds me of the awesome Mike Portney pictures describing each of his powerful screams during The Shattered Fortress.

I did Willingness. Good times, I'd say.

Norwegian Cruise Lines has a new commercial with the tag line: "The sea is calling".

I immediately started singing The Killing Hand in my head.

I was making a sign today in my store for Bosc Pears. Guess what I wrote instead?

I was riding on the bus today, and I saw an advertisement that said, "Need a change of scenery" and the first thing that came to mind was, "I think it's time for a CHA-EE-ANGE!"

There are two genres of music:

Dream Theater and Not Dream Theater.

I just opened my Bit Torrent Client (that I don't use for illegal downloads at all... ever...    ) and the Progress tab was shortened, so all I could see is "Prog" and for a moment I thought it was calculating how Progressive the music I'm downloading is.

How do you measure progginess, though?
