Prime.  It has my 2nd-5th, and TOT ain't bad either, especially as a comliment to the others in that bunch.  Odds v. 2 was my second choice.

I thought SFAM was your favorite.

No, it's my second.  My ranking (changes slightly from time to time):

1.  Six Degrees - The high notes are really high.  And while there are a couple of other albums that I would consider of equal quality, the simple fact is that Six Degrees is longer, so a higher quantity of awesomeness ends up being the tiebreaker.
2.  Scenes - Although I considered myself a fan since 1992, this was the album that really hooked me and made DT my favorite band.
3.  A Dramatic Turn Of Events - Perhaps their single most consistent album.
4.  Images - A very inconsistent album overall, but so many solid classics make it a winner.
5.  Awake - Like Images, has a good number of really solid songs, but some low points as well.
6.  Octavarium - Brilliant concept and mostly very good songs.
7.  FII - It took me awhile to appreciate this album, but songs like Lines In The Sand, Trial of Tears, Peruvian Skies, and New Millenium make it  great listening experience.
8.  Systematic Chaos - If it were only an EP containing ITPOE, Forsaken, Constant Motion, and TDEN, it would be perhaps the strongest, most consistent collection of songs in the entire DT discography.  Unfortunately, the rest of the album REALLY drags it down.
9.  Train of Thought - Perhaps the most "one-dimensional" album in DT's discography.  As an album, I don't listen to it much.  But the three song run of Vacant, Stream of Consciousness, and In The Name Of God stands up to anything in the discography.
10.  Black Clouds - Good album, but has fallen out of favor with me a bit.  I rarely find myself having the desire to listen to specific songs, other than A Nightmare To Remember, although I do like most of the others on the album.  Not a bad album by any stretch, but I just do not feel myself being drawn to it right now.
11.  WDADU - I rank it last for the same reasons a lot of fans rank it lower.  Still an enjoyable listen every now and then.  And overall, there are really only two songs on it that I don't care much for (Afterlife and The Ones Who Help To Set The Sun).

My favorites are albums no. 2,3,7,8 and this sequence represents numbers 'n' such that 2*3^n-1 is prime. The next number in the sequence is 12, so I'm guessing I'm going to love the next album ;D

I would suggest the Thue-Morse Sequence, but Dream Theater doesn't have a 0th album. :P

I picked Prime Numbers.

Majesty Demos is their 0th album.

7thHanyou

Fibonacci without even thinking about it. It contains my top 6, and the only one from my top 5 missing on it is FII.

Vivace

Primes: I'll take the hit with TOT. Would rather replace it with WDADU.

Wait. Your top 6 DT albums includes FII and WDADU?
You are awesome, except that you should replace 8VM with SDOIT :)

Your math is incorrect.

I missed 1 didn't I? ;D My bad there.

Apart from that I think I'm pretty spot on. If you still disagree, you might like to tell that to OEIS:

Prime Numbers, easily - It has their three best albums (I&W, Awake and Scenes), their best album of the last decade (ADTOE), the fairly solid Train of Thought, and neither of their two least best albums (SC and OV).

Had to go with even, can't handle losing SDOIT, and I am willing to sacrifice SFAM for it.
