There too!

rumborak

A wild Rumborak appears! I recall that you weren't sure whether to go or not. What made you choose for the first option? :)

rumborak

I go to so few concerts, it would be ridiculous for me to not go. Also, all of my band members will be there, and we have not been in one spot for over a year.

Progmetty

By "GA" they mean the back area behind the seating. Where all the convenience stands are located.

Going with my best bud.  He at one time was a touring musician (drummer).  Going to Sunset Grill first.

Today is the day bitches!!! :metal

Just go back.  Got to get my butt to bed.  A few observations.

James sounded great.
Mangini is a beast of a drummer and is so fun to watch.
Lots of energy from the crowd tonight.
Hilghights, Lost Not Forgotten,  The Test That Stumped Them All & Breaking All Illusions.

Bumped into  Rumbo and TAC.  Wish we had more time to talk.

Nice, dude! :2metal:

You best git yerself to bed, though.  Nighty night! :)
Look at all us freaks cluttering your city streets
Still scalping their ticket-less applause

Recap in the morning bit suffice to say that:
My 17th time seeing them since'92 and this might have been their best performance i've ever seen.
SeeIng Kingshmegland AGAIN was beyond cool but as soon as we started talking the lights went out for DT.

TDEN kicked total ass. I know it has it's detractors but I maintain that they've never seen it live!

3 Fullers's ESB, 3 Calsberg 's and a shot of Cold Gin (@Guitar Cozmo) since I've been home watching the Sox replay. Time for bed!  ;D

Oh yeah, James OWNED the fuc#ing stage like I've NEVER seen before!

26th show last night.  Pulled Section 2 Row A Seat 1 on Ticketmaster at 2:00PM yesterday!   :metal  Awesome show.  They dedicated the show to Jon Lord which was really cool.  I thought for sure they would have played Perfect Strangers last night but they stuck to the set.  Highlights, LNF, AFIL, TDEN.

Not sure if this has been discussed in other threads but I was really surprised that they are sampling MP's vocals from some of the older stuff.  I could hear it clear as day on War Inside My Head, also JP forgot to sing so that tipped it off.

The security were all over people trying to take pictures.  Same as what I read in other threads.  Even with my iPhone, they would come running over and tell me to stop.  Anyhow, amazing show, so cool to be that close, haven't been that close since the old club shows back on I & W.

Serpentor

LaBrie fucking owned last night.  Pretty amazing to steal the show from the other 4 guys.
Mangini was a BEAST on TTTSTA.

TAC

Wow..I'm AWAKE!

Morning comes too early...

A few thoughts..
-Yes they dedicated the night to Jon Lord between 6:00 and TDEN.
-Jordan came out with a long coat on. I'd never seen it before.
-The intro to TSCO was stellar. People say that these kinds of moments went out with MP, but this was just incredible. JR had a red       droogie hat and JP put on a cowboy hat for this. ( soory if this is known..I haven't watched any youtube of this leg)
-TDEN was incredible. As I said last night, anyone that has seen this song live HAS to appreciate it.
-James was incredible He dropped out once during Surrounded, but otherwise he freaking nailed it. :hefdaddy

-Might've been the best DT show I have ever seen. I was not in love with the setlist, but I was converted. The Lovely Mrs. TAC and I went out for some air and drinks during TROAE and War/Test.
Here's a pic of us on the water during War/Test

BTW, this is a great venue. Right on the water near the airport with a great view of the skyline.

It was great to see a friendly face like Kingshmegland's at the show. I wish we had more time, man.
Kirksnosehair missed a good one!

The band was tight and into it. James owned the stage. He was spectacular.
Anyway, the best part of the night was this:

FrostbiteZ

It was an awesome night. The guys were just amazing. The highlights for me were TITL, LNF, BIA, TSCO, Metropolis pt.1 and the guitar/keyboard leading up to TSCO were amazing, much longer than the ones I saw in europe.

I had a really bad seat row 16 right next to the aisle, so I easy to spot by security  for a moment I tried to move to back of the pavillion where the plenty of free seats, but not even there could I record without getting noticed by security.

Managed to get the whole Metropolis pt.1. Guess security couldnt care less at the end of the show https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=huUq2q3d928&lc

Oh and I forgot, Mangini did that part in AFIL with ONE hand!

That was crazy, yeah.

Good to see so many familiar people at the concert!!

TAC.  So cool you met Mangini.  He was a beast and I love watching him play with his unique set up on drums.  He brought a new energy to them live.  James sounded so good.  The best I've heard his voice since the I&W tour.

I wish we had a few more minutes to talk.  I figured we saw each other and then the lights went down. :lol   I guess I shouldn't complain.  they were right on time.

killer show. not sure where i'd rank it among my 10 DT shows but certainly near the top. JlB and JP both sounded as good as i've ever heard them. my highlights...

finally seeing 6:00 (anything from AWAKE is holy grail material for me)
the extended JR nasty keys-led section of DEN
Lost not Forgotten...the middle section...so great....
that slight increase in tempo for Fortune, which really made it urgent
the breathless segue from Angels into War...WHOA!
Test, which seemed to have an extended end section. Mangini...just amazing.
the JR/JP Spirit-inspired duet. WOW. can't believe people haven't raved about it more. jesus!
Spirit itself, so moving.
My first self-contained Metropolis since Worcester Palladium 04.

and our totally centered seats, right in front of the sbd. incredible sound, mellow folks, great sightlines.

Crimson was fun. I've seen quite a few KC shows since the Discipline tour in 82 so it wasn't revelatory, but it was a lot of fun.

DT fans should not miss this tour!

Listened to the bootleg (it's on dime!). Easily the best show of the US leg I've heard so far.
