I have to make a thread. It's just, I need to express my feelings.

THIS SONG IS AMAZING.

I actually think I've found the song that I could listen to for the rest of my life and not get bored. I also find it just completely mesmerising, for such a sad song, it cheers my up whenever I listen to it. I've had ADTOE for 3 days now, and I've listened to the song 12 times, at least, on my iPad. This isn't counting iPod touch and Computer.

It feels so good to say it to fellow fans.

FlyingBIZKIT

Hell yeah. This and BAI are my favorites from ADTOE. Simply beautiful!

ResultsMayVary

Best closer to an album since SDOIT.

lithium112

The song is, in fact, all manner of awesome. Speaking from personal experience though, you might wanna save "I could listen to this for the rest of my life" commitments until you've had the album for at least a few weeks.  :lol

Mladen

A wonderful song, and my 2nd favorite on ATDOE. Top 20 material as well.

DebraKadabra

I think of the "ballad-y" ones on ADToE, BtS is my favorite.
Look at all us freaks cluttering your city streets
Still scalping their ticket-less applause
Spun monkeys on the railroad track, take me to the caine field; I walk along pick my spiderbite
Basically Kyoko Kirigiri

RaiseTheKnife

i'm having difficulty latching onto this song like the rest of you.  I think its the lyrics that push me away.

Do lyrics mean nothing to you?  Cause those lyrics are depressing as hell.

:lol Maybe he is just talking about the music, and not the lyrics.

Those lyrics are Petrucci's best for a while.

I often find songs with lyrics that mirror negative emotions that I am feeling have the effect of "cleansing the palate" and allowing me to unload those emotions.

When I'm angry, songs with angry lyrics often calm me.  When I am depressed songs with depressing lyrics often cheer me up.  So it is not too surprising that some people find happiness in a song like BTS.

YtseJamittaja

It is DT's best song without drums ( I didn't forget that tambourine there but I didn't count it)

or tough choice between BTS and Wait For sleep...

FlyingBIZKIT

For me, it's a tough choice between Vacant and BTS.

Ben_Jamin

a great song that has meaningful lyrics. it's heartfelt and emotional, would make me cry.

TAC

Jamesman42

Amazing song. Stripped down, simple, but very atmospheric and delicate. Lyrics are beautiful. Music is perfect. Labrie drips with emotion (no pun intended)
\o\ lol /o/

GalacticGuitarist87

Great song, I wouldn't have closed the album with it though.

Ben_Jamin

The song is the only way to end the album

I love the song. Unfortunately for me, it might as well be a point for point breakdown of how my longest term relationship came to an end, so it also doesn't get played often.

Could be worse. I'm convinced that Steve Hogarth of Marillion has been unconsciously reading my mind since about 1995 or so, based on the number of song lyrics he's written that fit events in my life to a T.  :lol

LOL I was kind of thinking this same thing.   If the lyrics were at least somewhat of a positive message I gues I would like it more.   Musically it is absolutely fantastic though.

manticore999

Don't really care for any of the ballads on this album, mostly because (gasp) I really don't care for JLB's voice.

Love the lyrics, JLB's voice, JR's key section.... I am big fan of ballads, and this one ranks high on my list.

Pols Voice

It's my favorite song from their past 4 albums.
