10.

It's a top 8 DT song for me

9/10. 10/10 is perfect, and I wouldn't call it perfect.

Really a 9.5/10 though, it may end up being my favorite on the album after all, and may also crack my top 10 over time.

8, I think it's kinda overrated.

TheGreatPretender

Reminds me a lot of Learning to Live. So if Learning to Live is a 10, then this one gets a 9 for lacking an F#. Still, a very solid 9 though.

I give it a 7, but I accidentally clicked on 6.

It's a great song, but kind of average at the same time.
It just doesn't click with me for some reason..

I really wish that I enjoyed it more.

Well, it's Prog music. There's always a chance it's gonna grow on you and become one of your favorites in the future.

By the same token, there's also a chance that it will end up being one of your least favorites in the future.

Yeah, I know, and it's happened on quite a few occasions with several other Dream Theater songs.

I actually like the song a lot... but, there is just something that keeps me from just... LOVING it enough to want to listen to it.
And, the truth is, I never have the urge to listen to it, same with Beneath The Surface and Outcry.

I seem to not enjoy the songs that are fan favourites, by general consensus..
Like Breaking All Illusions, Learning To Live, Trial of Tears, and Scarred.

And that's alright with me, because the Dream Theater songs that I enjoy... I love to no end.  :tup

10.

Can't stop listening to it.

MK_Ultra

9. It's good but... it's not quite up there with the top songs for me just yet, that may well change over time as it often takes me a long time to warm to things. As with BITS and OTBOA, varying between first and third on the album.

my fav DT track of all time, its up there with Octavarium. Incredible. So much emotion and melody.

You can tell Jordan had a lot of fun creating and writing his solos on this one. Petrucci's solo is among his best along with Razor's Edge. The guitar tone gives me the chills, unreal  ;D

Metrovarium

Best DT song since Octavarium.

10. The best song on the album
Quote from: LithoJazzoSphere on November 28, 2024, 04:50:14 PMThe senecadawg who won 11 roulettes is dead and gone.  He is now diogenesdawg2.

9/10, ONLY because I wish the section right before the final chorus was a little bit longer, but it's still an excellent song, probably top 10 or 15 for me.

BlobVanDam

8/10. It's a very good song, but nothing that really excites me like my favourite songs do to earn it a 9 or 10.
