9/10.  Great song.  Feels like a hybrid of LtL and LitS, but just misses SOMETHING to make it absolutely amazing.

It misses any WEAKNESS.  ;)
DT at its best.
10/10

Bertielee

10/10 for me. Maybe the best track together with LnF on ADToE.

B.Lee

Zydar

9/10. It's an awesome song, their best in many many years. Perhaps a Top 10 DT song for me at the moment.

krands85

10. Amazing song, best on the album. Only bettered for me by Metropolis, LTL and Octavarium. BAI has just edged ahead of ITNOG into 4th spot I think.

In time, once the freshness of the new album has worn off a bit, I see it being around 3rd-6th in my favourite DT tracks.
Whoaaaahh, ohhh, ohhhhh. Whoaaaahh, ohhhhh, ohhhhhh. Waaah, ahhh, haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaowwwwww

Infinite Cactus

Zantera

9/10, but with that I'm judging it compared to other DT-songs.
If I compared it to all other genres, and my favorite songs as a whole, it would probably be a 7/10 or something, but I agree that it is DT's best in many years, and for a DT-song, I give it 9/10.
In my spare time I make music! Check it out. :)

I can't put a number on it, but it's definitely my favourite on the album. A great song

Mladen

10/10

I just keep falling in love with it. A lot of great stuff in there and top 25 material for me.

Mr. Beale

I gave it a 9, and that might be conservative. If there's one song I'm sure is great on ADTOE it's BAI.

SuperTaco

I give it a 10 overall, but I would also give it a 10 for one part of the song.

The part when the guitar solo is ending at around 6:36-6:42. The keyboard sound that is being played quietly in the background for ONLY this very short 4-5 seconds, before the clean guitar kicks in. It's difficult to make it out unless you're focusing on that sound alone. I'm curious to know what that sound is. It almost sounds similar to harpsichord. It rings with me in a certain way that makes me immediately think "JR should have used this sound for more than one tiny part."

I don't know if we'll ever see stems for BAI, but if we do, I know which track and which part I'm skipping to.

KevShmev

9/10.

Bridges in the sky is a 9.5/10.  :tup :tup

faizoff

I honestly can't remember when a DT song like this got me so hooked. Probably not since SFAM. 10/10 for me.

I love that bit so much

I definitely agree! That part made me expect a section that sounds something like "Communion and the Oracle" by Symphony X. Made me a little disappointed at first, but now I feel it was great because now I have proper inspiration to just make it myself :P

10/10, but I would much rather pick 10/0 o.O

InfraredDream

10. One of the best DT songs in my opinion. I love everything about it.

IronEarthTheater

I was listening to it again today and a few things struck me.  Yes, the chorus is awesome, but it's only heard twice (with vocals).  What makes this song is how awesome the instrumental parts are.  A lot of songs have a really cool instrumental part or two, but this is just one after the other and they are all different yet flow so well together.  It's just so seamless - they're in another awesome section and I don't even know how they got there.

The other hallmark of a truly great song?  It seems much shorter than it is.  County of Tuscany was like this too... I would forget how long the song was and then be surprised when I got somewhere in my car and the song was still playing.

10/10  Top 5 song

CrimsonSunrise

9.5  It would be a 10 if the lryics/Vocals were a bit more meaningful (for me)  Musically it's a 10

hefdaddy42

I've got it at a 10 right now, but with the full knowledge that it still has a lot of "new car smell."
Quote from: BlobVanDam on December 11, 2014, 08:19:46 PMHef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

jcmistat

10/10

John Myung needs to write lyrics more. Listened to Trial of Tears the other day and I totally under rate that song.

tedy

9/10
Great song, but for me it´s not the best one from the album.
Maybe will grow on me even more in the future.
Shaman and Outcry are both 10/10
:metal

Pinga

I'm always amazed at how amazing every single riff and melody is and how well they work together. A perfect song, and it's not even my favorite on the album.

Nekov

BRGM

8!

But I'm feeling that it is still growing on me actually, it might almost be closer to a 9

ishak540m

8, maybe a 9, but it always leaves me wanting more (Maybe on purpose).  Outcry for me is amazing.

I give it a 7, but I accidentally clicked on 6.

It's a great song, but kind of average at the same time.
It just doesn't click with me for some reason..

I really wish that I enjoyed it more.
I give it 6 ;) it soild, but like You Cranky said, it just doesn't clicked.... solo is awesome...and only that...it's not enough...

JasonScandopolous

After hearing it live, a 10 and the top song in the catalogue (at least for the near future).  I would have said 8 last week.

9/10.

Bridges in the sky is a 9.5/10.  :tup :tup

This!!! Only thing holding BITS from bein a ten is rudess with the bendy notes on keys during the interlude. It's short though and not too bad.

And Ya BAI is a 9 for me

Vajra

I just want to say... I saw DT tonight at NYC and BAI got like no reaction at all from the fans, I'd even go as far as to say it looked like the least popular song of the set list judging by the crowd's reaction.

reneranucci

I really liked it the first few times I listened to it, would have given it a solid 9-9.5. Now it's a 6.5, still a very good song, but nowhere near my top 25.

me7

Breaking all Illusions by itself is a solid 8/10, but considering Far from Heaven/Breaking all Illusions as a single song I'd give it 9,5/10 :hefdaddy
