At first I thought that having a bicycle tire was too simplistic for a cd which is so epic. If it's not completely obvious to you already, you can scroll down for the answer.

A dramatic "turn" of events.

:rollin  cheeky

Jaffa

I'm thinking it's probably a unicycle tire.

SystematicThought

I'm getting really 'tired' of these random threads.

Just kidding

senecadawg2

interesting...

In all seriousness though, after a couple months the cover has really grown on me. I would rank it as the 2nd best DT cover, only behind Octavarium.

I think it's about Lost.

They have the tail section of a plane on the cover, a song titled Lost Not Forgotten....I think the unicycle clown is probably Benjamin Linus....

Random people, random threads, random comments, but the one above me really trumps all. That is ridiculous.

I CANNOT find the interview he said it in and it's pissing me off, but swear I read JP said it is like that because when they went to Hugh Syme the album title at the time was "Bridges In the Sky."

I don't have a source, but I've heard that as well, and I'm pretty sure it's true. Perhaps they added the part of the rope that's about to break when the title change was made.

Thanks man.  Making the most ridiculous comment about ADTOE is kind of like a badge of honor, you know. :lol

I definitely know that the working title for the album was Bridges In The Sky (also from a JP interview), and I can totally imagine being that Hugh Syme's work was based on that.
