Og you go to the wikipedia page now you can see the lengths and the lyricists have been changed.. Several lyrics from Kevin Moore according to this.
All music composed by John Petrucci, John Myung, and Jordan Rudess.

No.   Title   Lyrics   Length
1.   "On the Backs of Angels"             John Petrucci   8:46
2.   "Build Me Up, Break Me Down"     Kevin Moore   8:11
3.   "Lost Not Forgotten".                 John Petrucci   4:24
4.   "This Is the Life"                     Dream Theater   8:21
5.   "The Shaman's Trance"             Kevin Moore   5:30
6.   "Outcry".                                 John Petrucci   9:32
7.   "Far from Heaven".                    John Petrucci   7:04
8.   "Breaking All Illusions"             Kevin Moore   2:32
9.   "Beneath the Surface".                John Myung   11:31

I therefore think we can conclude with that one should not trust the internet.

That's very true ;D I think we better wait until DT says anything or the record comes out :p

As of now the tracklisting has been reverted to what it should be. Won't stop anyone else from vandalising it though >.>

tri.ad

Prepare for a "DUH" post.

I highly doubt that we'll get the track lengths (and probably the lyricists as well) before the first promo copies are distributed.

Guitalguy

Well, now the first lengths are back again...

I call bullsh*t.

They are? I refreshed and all the tracklengths, lyricist (besides OTBOA) and the total length are gone.

Yeah, I think the Wikipedia mods finally realized that someone was having too much fun with the Edit button  and now they're on it. Hopefully.

wammabe

I feel left out I can't see anything different on the page...

Guitalguy

Here it shows the ones at the top of the thread. But I guess it's nothing we should care about, since it's all obviously faker than.... something fake.

No, I edited them out haha. I guess no-one bothered to put fake info back in.

Well, good. It better stay that way until we have official confirmation.
I don't see why the OP was so quick as to deem this thread "NEWS" when it should've been more like... "RUMOR"

This chaos reminds me of the months leading up to Maiden's Final Frontier, last year.  For quite a while before Maiden gave out info themselves, the wiki article had a REALLY inaccurate tracklist that seemed to imply that the album would be a concept album about the space race.

Hahah, I remember I kinda freaked out in 2009, because I saw that Megadeth's new album was Endgame, and I saw Iron Maiden's "Final Frontier" and I thought they were both retiring.

hefdaddy42

Don't believe anything until it comes directly from DT.
Quote from: BlobVanDam on December 11, 2014, 08:19:46 PMHef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

Well, a WDADR-type reunion with Smeagol would make quite the show.  If they're doing that.  Unless Mike already has him booked for one of his works.  That recluse really could use more love/representation from the DT guys.

Aniland

Oh well. That's a shame that it held no water, because it looked pretty good.

This page should be protected status.

LOL at the Kurt Cobain one. hehe.

Honestly, this thread was not a good idea. It was never officially announced, and even then, there is a thread for it. I'd only make a thread if it came from the horse's mouth.

Only one JM lyric.  It's been indicated a couple times he wrote lyrics for two songs, so I doubt it.

Has it been, officially? I thought that was just hopeful fan speculation.

Considering that it is merely a thread on a message board, I don't think it could possibly fall under the hammer of, "A bad idea." It's a thread, no biggie.

Does anyone know the validity of this?

I talked to James yesterday, this list is utter BS.

Doubtful, since it's almost exactly 80 minutes.

Funnily enough that is the one part that they got right!  :lol

I guess when I fixed the page, the mods saw my message that it should be protected, and thus it now is.

Extract from Mebert78's post about his meeting with JR:

Lastly, I asked him if he could give me any details on the new album, songtitles, anything.  He said one thing he could tell me is that Myung wrote lyrics for songs (I believe he said songs, plural -- as in multiple songs).

fadetoblackdude7

I'm gonna go ahead and predict that Breaking All Illusions will be the longest song on the record.....the title just sounds like it.

Dream Theater hasn't had an album where the penultimate track is longer than the closer since... Awake:|

And even before awake, Learning To Live was the longest track on Images and Words. So Awake and Dream and Day are the only two albums where that's the case.

1, 3, and 11.
3 - 1 = 2
Cut that two in half and you have 1 +1

They haven't had a closer that isn't the longest song on the album since SFAM, and only 3 overall.
