So? Do you, and which song(s)?
I currently using About to Crash(Reprise) because of great intro ;D

Zydar

Not anymore, but I used to have Learning To Live, the keyboard intro.

JediKnight1969

Sure!

Wait for sleep.

None.  I don't know how to make a song into a ring tone.

Same here. That being said, I always keep my phone on vibrate and don't use ringtones. I actually don't even know what my ringtone is.

Use the force.

I have the intro riff to Home as my apartment gate tone, and the drum fill to 6:00 as my picture message tone.

Mebert78

Yes!  I use the opening to "6:00" as my call ringtone and the opening to "Space-Dye Vest" as my text tone.   :metal

I hear the opening notes to SDV like dozens of times a day.  It's wonderful.

When I get a picture text I just hear "TRAPPED INSIDE THIS OCTAVARIUM!!"

Tomislav95

Interesting. I use default tone for text message ;D
Must cut something from DT songs  ;)

Ben_Jamin

Its easy with audacity...just upload a song then choose what part you want. Cut the selection, time stamp it to 0:00, save and upload to phone.

I had the harmonic intro of The Count of Tuscany as a message ringtone. My current phone doesn't have it or I haven't figured out how to do it.

VioletS16

No, but I REALLY want to use a part of TBOT, so every time someone calls I hear,

"and then came the call!"
:lol

I've got that bit from In the Presence of Enemies. Not the start, but the sort of... 0-0-0-7-5-7-10-9-5-7 riff. Um, about four minutes in? Before the singy bit.

gmillerdrake

I use a section from ITPOE (4:15-4:53) The 'quiet' little break where JP is playing with a tiny hint of bells from JR in the background and MP then begins a light snare ending in an infactic fill into a heavy riff. Yeah, that part. Sorry...that's the best way I can describe it.
Interesting idea to use a song as a text ringtone as well........I shall join in on that one.

That's kind of strange that as I typed my response you added yours, I think we are describing the same part.

alirocker08

Nope >.< I went over two years with LUDO's Love Me Dead as my ringtone (because I couldn't be arsed to change it), and then I recently changed it to 'Sleeping under the Stars' by POS, just because I like to see how many odd glances I get on the bus when it rings.

John94

I use the ITNOG breakdown/drum fills/keyboard section before the last chorus as my alarm.

I love that part :D

I had the ragtime piano solo from TDOE as a text message tone but I just keep my phone on vibrate now. Hearing the same tone so many times a day makes the song boring.

jonny108

Nope but I am going to do this tomorrow :)

Oh yeah, I have this as my voicemail tone.

sneakyblueberry

I have the instrumental part (right after 'The third arrives...') in Metropolis Pt 1 as my ringtone.  Its badass.

Hmm, interesting thought. I wonder how difficult it would be to design a program to randomize ringtones to prevent that.

eosforum

MP had the intro of PMU as his ringtone. I have the main grand riff of Universal Mind as a ringtone.

What would be the point then? I use different ringtones to tell when a certain person calls. Randomizing them would render the whole thing useless and cause a chain reaction that would unravel the very fabric of the space-time continuum and destroy the entire universe! Granted that's a worst case scenario.

Learning to Live. The part? WAHHHHHHHH-UHHHHH-AHHHHHHHHHHH

Yeah I know. I'm not saying it would be a universally-adopted program, maybe just a neat little app that someone could download.

Tomislav95

I've got an idea: I THINK IT'S TIME TO CHEEEAAEEENGEEE!

Adami

While it's not a DT song, someone could use the part of Alone by JLB "For Heaven's Sake Answer Your Phone!"
www. fanticide.bandcamp . com

JayOctavarium

for calls: I'M SICK OF ALL YOU HYPOCRITES section of ACOS
texts: i cant set it as a notification tone but if i could: EVEN THOUGH I'LL BE GONE I WILL LIVE OOOOON!

Metabog

Anyone have "MAH BROTHA" for when their brother calls them?  :P

iamtheeviltwin

Used to use part of PMU.  Currently don't have a DT ringtone, but I do use the intro from As I Am for my alarm tone on the phone.  The rising volume into the crunch...works great for an alarm.

Or 'Hello Victoria', if you knew a Victoria.  But I would slap the person who had either of these as a ringtone.

Lotion

I used Metropolis from score for a while, now i got the stream of consciousness intro
