Each and every day, reading the random-ass, almost spam-esque posts from the newer members, makes me feel like I belong here more and more. :heart

i mean, ive been here since June, but anyway, no it's something i noticed in the length of their album titles, it almost seems like it was done on purpose. There's too many nuggets for it to be a coincidence

Definitely a neat observation.

I also like the theory that they're making their catalog symmetrical in terms of song numbers, with Octavarium being at the center;

WDADU: 8
IaW: 8
Awake: 11
FII: 11
SFAM: 12
SDOIT: 6
ToT: 7
Octavarium: 8
SC: 7 (ITPoE being technically one song)
BC&SL: 6
DT11: 12?
DT12: 11?
DT13: 11?
DT14: 8?
DT15: 8?

If you don't like a thread, just don't post in it.

This is actually quite cool. :lol

What? I love it! This thread showcases perfectly why Dream Theater fans can't have nice things.

"Nice things" being pussy.

Oh don't be overdramatic.

There are at least a dozen documented cases of Dream Theater fans getting pussy.

And darkshade:  the presentation of your discovery may have been a little dorky, but that's something that I've never noticed before and it's actually pretty interesting.  :tup

QC FTW. When is he and faye getting together? it's been dragging out for like 6 years

I don't get it   I need a smart person to explain this to me  ???

Now that Dora is going to be out of the picture, it's possible. But Faye has Angus now, don't forget.

I'm excited for Marten's mom to make her return in the coming weeks (if not this coming week). She'll probably destroy Dora.

Implode

jsem

True... Marten is surrounded by chicks but can't approach any 1 of them - lol. Hanners? Would be hilarious..

Aniland

I'm actually very for a Marten/Hanners arc, as long as they don't write her out if they break up or anything like that. She's my favorite character in the whole QC universe. =D

Yeah, hope the guy who's making these comics doesn't fuck it up

We have a thread for QC, guys.  Good comic though.  :tup

Holy shit.  Somehow I triggered an abrupt thread derailment and all I did was post something that was completely on-topic.  :justjen

The lengths of the written-out album titles follow a pattern.  Starting in the bottom right-hand corner with their first album and moving chronologically through their discography (and counterclockwise), the titles create a kind of image of a circle inscribed in a rectangle.  Make sense?  So it's like their career--as it stands now--creates a complete circle?  So they've come full circleLOLNUGGET.

Get it?

No?

If DT11 has 9 songs/tracks, that would also be acceptable - the back of SFAM lists 9 track-times to match the 9 "Scenes" in the album. So really, 9 or 12 would be awesome.

If it was 12, it would be funny because then the 11th album would have 12 tracks, and then the 12th album would have 11 tracks!

Also, it's a bit realistic for the band to only make 5 more albums, considering their age and possible lengthening-of-time-between-albums.

I find it really interesting, and am still surprised keyboardframe hasn't gotten a permaban yet.

I remember thinking how unlikely it would be for the albums to unfold in that pattern before BC&SL was released, because what were the odds that they'd release another album with only 6 tracks?
If they actually do end up doing this kind of arc, it would be pretty cool (though if they wanted to break the arc by making more albums after DT15, that would be fine).
