One of my favorite songs.  Not a fan of the "noise solo", but love everything else about it.

top 3 for me. The fade in and out and back in at the end is very reminiscent of Hendrix, but the sound is so modern, its a very cool blend that they never duplicated. The way things are placed Left / Right in the mix, vintage elements yet modern. The snare sound at the end is awesome. Just great experimentation and a great song lyrically. Very memorable right away after 1st listen.

Sacul

Probably my fav track on disc 1, everything about it is fantastic  :heart

I'm not a fan of the very end, but the rest is perfection. One of my favorites.

Incredible song, but like a few others, I actually think the edit version is better. The noodling at the end isn't my cup of tea, but the song is a monster other than that

Sacul

I guess I'm the only one here who actually loves the very end  :lol

Probably tied with Blind Faith for my favorite track on Six Degrees (yes, counting the title epic as one track as well). It's so damn unique for a DT song, it clearly has its own vibe about it and it's probably the furthest they've gone into the experimentation department.

Nope, I'm right there with you. DT need more moments like that honestly.

It's sonically the darkest and grittiest they've gotten. It's the perfect outro for a song like this IMO.

I love every second of this song. Top 25 song for me.

When listening to SDOIT as a whole and then getting to this song, especially the last couple of minutes, you're kind of just like "what the.. fuck." And that, to me, is magical.

I've always given the song The Beatles' 'I Want You' treatment, and snip it at 8:08.  I like the live version.  Love the mood setting during the easy part with the blue lights, light percussion, .....and then the thunderous chords......

For the longest time, the 'Never Enough/Misunderstood/As I Am' order was on my GH3 version.

Thanks for letting me share this.

I love Misunderstood. I'm surprised at the negativity the ending is getting. I think it's totally awesome, proggy, Red-era-King-Crimson-inspired goodness.  :hefdaddy
Can't say that I'm necessarily surprised that the ending is not everybody's favorite, but I absolutely share your love for it. For me, it really conjures a feeling of madness, inner turmoil, and despair that fits the song perfectly.

All of this.
