Omg, not another "Systematic Chaos EP" thread...

The album is perfect the way it is. Period.
Which is obviously why so many people have responded in this thread to the contrary.

I see the idea of "majority is always right" is still alive and doing well.

It's pretty much their weakest album, and if it were perfect, it wouldn't be. Lots of cool moments, tons of lame moments.

Trains is good, Conceiving You is not, and Systematic Chaos is DT's worst album that isn't pulled down by Dominici or corporate meddling.

Didn't you make this thread like, 6 months ago? :lol

..and 6 months before that..

...and 6 months before that! :\
Quote from: wkiml on June 08, 2012, 09:06:35 AMwould have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Quote from: Stadler on February 08, 2025, 12:49:43 PMI wouldn't argue this.

Another ''which songs should we cut out to make SC a better album'' thread...

The answer - none. All of the songs are great in their own way. Overall, I'd even say Systematic chaos is my 4th favorite Dream Theater album.

:metal :metal :metal

TAC

Yeah I agree. I love the majesticness of the TMOLS' intro, and it really hits you at the right time. And I think POW works great after the dreariness of Repentance.

They are designed by a higher power. They are beyond your comprehension

What did DT get their fanbase into when they started that stuff?

If it were perfect, you wouldn't be the only one who thinks it is perfect.  That's all I'm saying.

It's not about right or wrong but rather popular opinion.

But normally, the majority's opinion contributes to what's called or considered "objective" within music.

True, but to a smaller degree since opinions are mostly "subjective".

Nice.  I'm not nuts about Constant Motion, but I can see this working out a lot better.  I recently did this with Opeth's Watershed (cutting off the last two tracks).
