Someplace near MSG hopefully as I'm coming in via train.

Birch Boy

I had already made a roll call thread for this show last week, but this one already has more activity, so disregard mine. I'll be there + 2 non-DTFers

cramx3

Going with a friend.  :metal Im really excited since this is the first time seeing Maiden and DT without seeing spoilers before hand.  Really excited to see what songs get played.

Dark Master Of Sin

I'll be there with my dad, we're staying at the hotel across the street from the MSG.

yeshaberto

got this list via email from the MSG for the show.  If you know anything about any of these places (size, etc), let's pick on and go from there.  Doors open at 6:30p and DT is on at 7:30.

Birch Boy

I'll probably only be able to meet up with people in the food court of Madison Square Garden, as I doubt my stepdad will drive me to a restaurant to meet a bunch of people I met over the internet and have never seen face to face...

So maybe I'll just see some of you by chance inside the venue/at merchandise stands/etc...

Me and my buds are going to the Hard Rock Cafe for dinner and then going right to the venue, so hopefully we'll see some of you guys there. I'll be in green camo shorts with a Roll the Bones Rush T-Shirt incase anyone sees me and wants to say hi.

yeshaberto

Birch Boy

I'll be in a white Killers t-shirt, and since there's a chance they'll be more than one person wearing one, I'm the teenage kid with mid-long hair in case anyone sees me  :lol :birch:

Also, I'll hopefully be getting there by 6:30 the latest, but my meeting locations will be venue-restricted, so food court would be the best place for me, but since the adults might meet at a restaurant or something I'll just miss it, no real big deal (although it'd be really cool to meet you guys).

yeshaberto

does the food court open before the venue opens (doors open at 6:30)?  If so, that would seem like the better place to meet at maybe 5:30 or something

I'll be getting the train that puts me in the city at 2:48, so I'll start seeing people then. :D

Was going to drive but decided on the train instead should get there around 4:30

Wish I could be there tonight with you guys!  I'm really happy that the band is finally getting to play MSG, and I hope you all have a great time!

Nick

Got to my train station with 1 minute to spare, so of course now the train is late.

Birch Boy

I'll be there around 6:30 the latest. I still say food court would be the most convenient. And if for some reason someone has the urge to meet me, just yell "BIRCH BOY!!"

Birch Boy

So what's the verdict on the meeting place? And what will you guys be wearing?

EDIT: I'm wearing a white Killers t-shirt.

yeah, that was cool...but bummed we didn't get to see birch boy, quad and others....

show was mighty awesome!

yeshaberto

actually, it was cool too cause we got to see MP walking past us on the sidewalk...too fast to get a stalker pic, though

cramx3

i thought dt performed with much more energy than i ever have seen.  They seemed to be pretty into it for playing MSG.  I had an awesome time.

yeshaberto

yeah, I loved how MP highlighted the meaningfulness of that show for them (ie. dreaming of it as kids, and now doing it - with IM to boot!)

Just got back.. too bad I couldn't see any of you guys but I did have the time of my life and would easily say it was one of (if not the) best concert I've ever been to.

EDIT: Also in case you guys don't know, someone fell off the escalator as we were leaving and I'm pretty sure that he died. We couldn't figure out if he jumped or if he was pushed but I highly doubt he survived. We all heard the thud and then after about 5 minutes when we finally got down the stairs (massive crowds plus rubberneckers = people traffic) he still wasn't moving. He appeared to have landed face first and his feet were in all crooked angles that indicate that at the very least he broke his legs and probably his ribs (considering he landing face first) =/

My god... Was everyone just walking by or were there paramedics there already? Don't the venues always have medical people on call?
