The Who - The Who Sell Out (1967) For as long as I've been a big Who fan I've liked many of the songs on this album. But it occurred to me it has been ages since I listened to it straight through. I had forgotten how solid this album is beginning to end. You can feel the progression from the initial "Maximum R&B" days to what they would become Who's Next and beyond.
I rarely post here so don't know who the regulars are. If lonestar and/or Stadler are here I am curious to hear their thoughts on this album, or anyone else's of course.
I'm a big fan of The Who, and Sell Out is my favourite album of them all. Seems like the big ones are either Tommy, Who's Next, and Quadrophenia (and they're awsome too), but I've always prefered their poppier stuff from 1966-1968. There are so many highlights here - Our Love Was, I Can See For Miles, Sunrise, I Can't Reach you for example.
