changing countries with VPN changes the FiveGuys location on FB. And yes, there's one in The Netherlands now since about 2months ago.

Where did the netherlands come from?

From the bottom of the ocean, where they eventually rose up with tectonic changes and then man artificially created in some parts more lands.

I do believe that DT only twice has recorded an album outside of NY; WDADU was recorded in PA and Awake in LA. Just sayin...

I love people on Facebook trying to guess which Five Guys they were at... Every Five Guys looks almost exactly the same on the inside  :lol

cramx3

So they didn't take an international flight for some five guys?!

For pancakes maybe.

DT just made us participate in a Spotify-playlist contest and asked us to title our entries as We Are: Dream Theater.

Jordan posted a video using his keys to jokingly play We Are: Dream Theater using the EWQL Symphonic Choirs app.

Is We Are: Dream Theater the title of the new album?  :lol

I hope not lol
I hope the new album has a standard DT album title. We haven't had one since 2011

Looks like they're having fun and enjoying the time they have. All of them together, enjoying a a bbq. And just having fun. Which in turn creates good music.

Mangini is really cooking at today's session.

His tongs crossover barbecue paradiddles is second to none.

He cooks in 19/16, you can really feel the subdivisions :lol

Mike Mangini's Concert Cannon Barbecue Sauce.

You've got to reach for it!

AFAIK, he did exactly that up until SDoIT.. From ToT onwards he's been there with the rest of the guys throughout the writing process..

The band themselves encouraged him to do that.. Otherwise... well, I'd think most here already know that story..

Which story?

When they (mainly MP) started to question if James was still the right singer for the band.. They had a big sit-down with him, which was almost like a shape-up or ship-out kind of meeting.. Of course JLB listened to theirs demands and since then he improved in almost all the aspects that he could (stage presence, vocal training, being a part of the writing process and stop crediting himself as a songwriter when he never was)..

Jordan also made a comment about a song inspired by Yes and Rush vibes, and they posted a blank "Song 8" annotation sheet. They already wrote seven songs and getting ready for the eight?  :o

Anyway, I love how without really spoiling the actual music they keep us involved and more than that, it looks like they're all together, James included, having a good time. Who knows if the other guys pressed for it, or JP and JR themselves realized that this time around it had to be a team effort and wanted and insisted for everyone to be there all together.

8 songs in ten days?!  :omg: It's crazy how, after 13 albums, they can still create music so easily...

Looks like "The Light Before the Dark" to me.
Whoaaaahh, ohhh, ohhhhh. Whoaaaahh, ohhhhh, ohhhhhh. Waaah, ahhh, haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaowwwwww

If this is the title I imagine a song that starts acoustic and then progressively becomes ANTR.  ;D

Destiny Of Chaos

I'm thinking it's an intro piece, like WFS... leading to a heavy song.

Renzo

BTW It's nice to hear that they already wrote seven songs. It seems they are very inspired. We'll wait tomorrow to hear answers from the Facebook Q&A

I think you might be right  :o

But I'm still kind of seeing "Beh---" instead of "Bef---" so it might end up being "The Light Behind The Dark"

Oh, they tease us hard this time again!

That actually makes more sense.  Illumination Theory pt. II.

I saw this on facebook and was like "Song 8 already? Man, these guys are amazing! Too bad this is only a blank page with no other clues in it". Then I come to DTF and people have already figured out half of the song title (or working title) for song 7 and are guessing how heavy it is :rollin
We should've already changed DTF name to "Enigma Machine" ;D

I was really hoping that spending so much time together in the cabin, they would be able to write so easily that they'd make too many songs, that they'd need to trim the fat and eventually we'd get some b-sides on top of a stellar album.

The Walrus

Sounds like if it's 8 songs, there's inevitably going to be some mindless wankery and sections that overstay their welcome. Wonderful. Oh well.
