I have never had that problem here with Burger King's buns. Interesting. If anything the McDonald's buns here are a bit soggy. I would pick Wendy's if I had to just choose one place. They had those ghost pepper fries and jalapeno chicken sandwich which were amazing. I'm in the mood for them now.

that ghost pepper chicken sandwich was disappointing in my opinion. It was very hot, sure, but that was all it had going for it. The crunchiness of the peppers was a nice addition but it needed something more. Something a little kooky like cucumbers to help cut through the heat while adding more crunch and cooling vegetable goodness or something maybe. I don't know. Probably just me. Even just shredded lettuce may have helped a bit.

That might have been an interesting addition...the cucumbers I mean.

I'm really excited to have been able to get my daughter all set up to take lessons from a guy who gave me my lessons back in late 1987. He was already excellent back then and had been around awhile and since then he spent 25 years in NYC at a recording studio and playing with jazz musicians and giving lessons, etc. Recently moved back to our area and so isn't full up with students yet. He still travels back to NYC weekly according to my brother, who used to play with him when I was little and who is still friends with him now and is the one who got us hooked up. I am so glad to have all that experience and expertise at my daughter's disposal. Her first lesson is tomorrow night, and then every Thursday at 5pm. $40 for an hour lesson.

I'm as excited as she is I think. We will be learning together in a way, because I"ll be staying for lessons and will absorb it as well. It's been many years and I didn't take lessons for too many months back then.

I do indeed have linguine carbonara in my belly, and it was quite delightful. The cheesecake afterwards wasn't quite as good, but I did snag some of my sister's tiramisu and hazelnut gelato

Good evening peeps.

Long fucking day. After work, I was supposed to show up at the bowling alley for a new league starting. I got off at 5. Had to be at the alley by 6. I work like a mile and a half from there. But since Panda is still out of town.. I had to drive the 40 min (in traffic) home, take the dog out, and then drive all the way back. made it by 6:05

Anyway... this new league bowls along side my old league. The one ran by my ex's mother. I spent all night getting compliments from all my old league mates (I've lost weight since I was with them, and I was still dressed up in mah work clothes. These folk were used to seeing me in jeans and band shirts). Except my ex's mom. She looked... annoyed and confused and kept giving me strange looks all night. Oh well.. fuck her

it cracks me up when people type "I was balling like a baby" instead of "I was BAWLING like a baby" because instead of conjuring up accurate images of someone sobbing with sadness, it conjures up images of a suave infant with bling and all the babes.
