Not sure how I stumbled upon this, but it's pretty awesome, prog-metal instrumental band with some kind of eastern features here and there.
Only complaint is that they're a little too fast/technical at times, but it's cool for the most part.

I was intrigued by your description (instrumental, technical, eastern influenced) so gave them a listen. Was sounding good until the growls! How is that instrumental?
Oh hahaha yea I guess I found the intrumental version like Parama said, didn't know they had an actual vocalist.
EDIT: My god, that's definitely not an appealing voice, I'll stick with the instrumental version if anything.

eh. 's alright. nothing else is as fun as Rope though, and the lyrics in a few of the songs rub me the wrong way.

Vanden Plas - Netherworld 2
Magnus Karlsson - Kingdom of Rock
Trivium - Silence in the Snow

There's a fighting chance that these are my top 3 albums of the year.  All are Top 6 without a doubt

And this is from a guy who isn't even a Trivium fan.  :tup

The two new ones are quite brilliant.  VP will take a few listens like the first one but on the first listen it was great.

I was waiting for someone to try on that Trivium in my roulette with all the talk about it.......not up my alley?

I should revisit Silence in the Snow but my first impression was that it was fairly average. Netherworld II and Kingdom of Rock are great though.

Might've been.  But I hadn't digested it enough to put it into the Roulette inventory.

Round 3 winner gets my first album listen-through.

EDIT: Great stuff Parama, you probably could've sent me any of these songs (minus one or two) and get about the same score, I'll probably come back to this more often.

pretty much, there's a reason it's one of my favorite albums of all time  :lol
All The World Is Mad, Circles, Doublespeak, In Exile, At The Last, The Great Exchange, and Beggars are all just fantastic songs as well

and The Weight and Talking Through Glass are good too, just a tiiiiny bit under the level of the rest
