Hope you get in a David Maxim Micic mood soon, 425 ;)

this is really generic and boring tbh [...] could only take half the album before i had to stop[/size]
Hey, I thought the same while listening to Cohhed and Cambria's Afterman, and Burning Star IV :neverusethis:

this is really generic and boring tbh charles' obsession with it makes even less sense, i could only take half the album before i had to stop

Have you been round to Charles' house ? :lol
him posting it like a dozen times made me curious

i am no longer curious

C'mon man, it's not that hard to endure the whole album, just push play :neverusethis:

And pretty quickly press eject and put Pump on instead

This is actually pretty good, not as brilliant as their previous two albums, but definitely better than expected.

this is decent, again, but i can't really get past the synths.
tho it raises a point that it uses the same tambourine thing as caladan brood but it's not mixed overly loud here like it was there.
i think i'm done looking into black metal stuff for now, when i've gotten and listened to all the albums i want to get more then i'll return to searching for new stuff  :lol

since this band/double album is all over this thread lately
this is pretty solid prog metal stuff, some power/symphonic metal in there too. wouldn't say it especially stands out but i can appreciate it nonetheless. probably will check out the second one too. but i enjoyed this. might put it on my "eventually" list

i put this on again because
1. i wanted to listen to it because it's great
2. i wanted to see if the CD had the weird cuts that my mp3's had and it doesn't

so i need to figure out how to rip this properly, goddammit  :lol
no other albums i've ever had this problem with where the mp3's outright rip with a fraction of a second of the song missing
or at least no other album where it matters

update: it rips properly on itunes

Seems that the metal community are beginning to appreciate this album a lot more as of lately. There's quite a bit of filler, but the energy is palpable and Chris Poland is amazing (as usual)
Condoms? Um, are they like a dream theater souvenir?  Where can I find those condoms? That'd be really nice to havr.

Hartmann - The Best Is Yet To Come.

A "best of" of Oliver Hartmann's solo records.

Pretty cool stuff, his voice is perfectly suited for this kind OF hard rock/AOR/alternative.

Nice surprise.

I feel like TWNAH was a good start back to form, TSHF built upon it and took it to the next level, as they continued to do with UA and EG.
TSHF is very good. I have always liked it, and it's really the album that got me back into Megadeth after many years of ignoring anything new by them.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

figured i might as well check out another of their albums.
i don't like the heavier parts of this so much, or the harsh vocals, but overall I'd say it seems pretty solid, will probably end up getting this one after Language

you are absolutely insane, the only albums i ever listen to 30+ times tend to be my absolute favorites (or ones i've had for like, 5 years and revisit every so often)

listening to this again because why not. i like this, but i don't love it.
i really don't have a lot to say about it. a lot of it sounds kinda samey to me but the songs all seem good enough, just not especially my thing.
