Weymolith shouldn't have posted that.  We have computers, we can just convert the picture of the soundwaves back into sound. ::)

TheAtliator

Absolutely and it's damn impressive.  I haven't the software or the knowledge to do it myself, but I've seen it done.  Here's an example of how it's done:

:rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin OMG I just read that, freaked out, read it out loud to my brother really excited, then clicked on the link with him watching.

I know, right?  It's pretty damned amazing.  Funny how they did it, but amazing, nonetheless.

Wow, that's amazing! :o Everyone should take a look at this video!

Yeah, I saw that same video on soundwave picture->sound conversion a couple years back.  Funny how they need that big/expensive machine to do it, but I'm sure somebody on the board has the equipment.

Yeah, but if I had the technology, I'd probably be greedy and keep the results all to myself. I probably wouldn't ever give it up. But... I'd never let the forum down though...

In b4 thread lock!

Seriously, even though you're not allowed to post material like that, that was pretty badass.  Not sure everyone will be on board with how "unique" it is, but I really dig the sound

If you take a closer look to the soundwave at the end, it seems pretty obvious that it is The Count of Tuscany. The length coincides, too. :o

nestcmartin

In fact, I think the first three tracks are Under a Glass Moon, Forsaken and Peruvian Skies. Length and soundwave coincidence again  :P

Nick

Wait, you're supposed to see blue behind the green and red?

TheAtliator

I'm trying to work with this a bit.. High Voltage?? First part works but then that middle thing looks more like TGD than PS but PS came first in the set.. Then I just randomly through the rest on :P (For the record I started doing this before I saw Nest777's post - promise  :lol)

Guys, I think I got it.

The length and soundwave coincides in every case, and it is based, as TheAtliator said, in the High Voltage 2011 setlist. IDK why it is in a different order  As you can see, almost every track is not included in LALP.

I think that blank space may be from another night... or should I say... from another day?  ;)

EDIT:
I put together the pieces and they fit!  ;D
I have a bootleg of that show, and this is the resulting soundwave (with Another Day in the blank space):

So there you have it:

1. Under a Glass Moon
2. Forsaken
3. Peruvian Skies
4. Endless Sacrifice
5. Drum Solo
6. Ytse Jam
7. The Great Debate
8.  Another Day (?)
9. Through My Words
10. Fatal Tragedy
11. Caught in a Web
12. Learning to Live
13. The Count of Tuscany

Shadow2222

Lol so we really were able to deduce it from the sound waves, essentially? Awesome! I just hope that video is released from that show. James was really good and Id love to have The Count of Tuscany as a pro-shot video.

So regardless of WHAT the sound wave exactly is, are we to expect a new Ytsejam release?

That's what I take it to be. I can't imagine Dream Theater would just release such a big show for free. I think Weymolith was actually trying to get us to guess this, since the wave files match exactly with the studio versions, when there would be differences in the live versions (plus the whole pic is obviously meant to tease, what with "Dream Theater Xmas Live 2013").

I just hope they release a DVD (or even a Bluray) of the video footage.

JayOctavarium

Seriously... this is the group that took a single blurry frame from an in-studio video and was able to put together a section of a song. Wey had to know what would happen.
