Sorry to dissapoint, but I'm lowclass when it comes to booze.  It was a Bud and Jager night for me, but I did have a lunch cooked by a veteran of the French Laundry, so I do hope that makes up for my shitty taste in beer.(I do love high dollar red wine, if that helps my status points though)*chugs Bud*

I was just holding out hope, because I remember you coming into the beer thread once after you had some Pliny the Elder, which is both one of my favorite beers and one of the most highly regarded craft beers in the world.

That sandwich you had for lunch did sound crazy good. I'm eternally jealous that my favorite brewery brews a beer exclusively for The French Laundry.

I'd love to get into really good wine (especially red), but good wine is a bit pricier than good beer, which makes it to expensive for this recent college grad.

Don't getg me wrong, I do enjoy good beer, but when I drink for fun, it's Bud.  I'm a slave of my upbringing.  As for good wine, I usually can't afford it either, but in my business, I do get sample taste of it.  For my fortieth birthday, my bud cracked a bottle of '89 Caymus Cabernet, fucking godlike.  I don't think I will ever have a bottle better than that one.

My uncle is into good wine so he'll usually open a nice bottle of cabernet when I'm over for dinner, but other than that I stick with the type of alcoholic beverage where I can get a world class bottle of it for $10

God damn! Most I've ever paid for a bottle of beer is $28, but I'd say it was probably worth it.
