Yeah, I'm doing 9 members. Deal with it.

I won't really be forcing you all to have a theme for every round. I'll still have a general theme, but I won't knock you down too much for not abiding by it. I feel like it's a better idea for you all to send me the best music possible. Anyway, here's my last.fm: https://www.last.fm/user/zxlkho

Have fun! Round 1 is open.

I would totally beg to be included in this, but I'd just be a massive troll and send an ICP song for every round.

Good. I'd have someone to put in last place every round.

But seriously, there's already 9 players, and if dethklok09 (he's mia) doesn't show up soon I'm replacing him with Zander.

Okay fine, you're in and dethklok is out.

My submission - "Wake Me Up Before You Go Go," Wham

Marvellous G

Can all of the players here please start a massive conspiracy to only send 80s number 1 hits with considerable synth parts?

Ryan, if you keep your roulette up at this pace, I might actually get to do mine before I die.  :lol

jsem

All roulettes are fast in the beginning but go slower and slower.

zxlkho

By tonight, I mean in like 10 minutes.

Truth. Really I think they should only last about 5 rounds.

jsem

I think 8 rounds is good, if things move along smoothly. It's the contestants as well... open rounds are much easier than themed, so people go through their music libraries trying to find a perfect fit for the theme.

zxlkho

I was only planning on doing 6 rounds, but if it goes fast I'll do more.

ZBomber

I might only do 5 or 6 rounds for mine. We'll see how fast it goes, I don't want to take forever. Not even because of the people in line after me, I just wouldn't want it going on for months because I'd get tired of it.  :lol

Round 1 (Open Round):
5 Quadrochosis: No Man - "Truenorth":
WOW this was awesome. It was very eerie throughout. The flute is really awesome and fits well in the beginning. Vocals are great as well, and when the electronic section came in, bricks were shat. I'm kind of mad that I haven't checked out No-Man before, with it being a Steven Wilson project. Brb, downloading this album.

4 sonatafanica: Chroma Key - "Again Today":
I really REALLY liked this, but that's no surprise because it's Kevin Moore. I always thought he was the best part about Dream Theater before he left. I'll definitely check out Chroma Key further.

4 Gorille85: Foxy Shazam - "Oh Lord":
Okay, so this was the weirdest video I've ever seen. But damn this song was amazing. It was definitely in a similar vein to Queen and I loved it. Also, holy shit that guy can sing.

3 antigoon: The River Empires - "A Toast to the Snake King":
I've heard many good things about this band, and I've been meaning to check them out. It reminded me a lot of The Dear Hunter for some reason. I liked this song a lot. I actually had downloaded this album a long time ago but never listened. I'll be fixing that tonight.

3 Lateralus88: Rammstein - "Bück Dich":
FUCKING. METAL. The main riff was so energetic and awesome. I could see myself really enjoying this band live. :metal

3 Ravenheart: VAST - "Here":
Sounded very much like Nine Inch Nails, which is good. I really liked it. I don't have much else to say here. :lol

2 dtismajesty: Susanne Sundfør - "Father Father":
This was.... interesting. Her voice was really great. And I mean REALLY great. But I'm not sure why the song as a whole didn't grab my attention throughout. I didn't feel like it was particularly moving, but maybe it's just a grower.

2 AcidIainLTE: Faith No More - "The Gentle Art of Making Enemies":
I've heard some stuff from this band before and liked it, just never bothered to listen to them further. I really loved the music throughout, and Mike Patton's vocals were great whenever he wasn't singing "I never felt this much alive." It was hard to place this song so low, tbh. But there were a few here that were much better.

1 LieLowTheWantedMan: Animals as Leaders - "Tempting Time":
This band sounds almost identical to Periphery. That's not really a bad thing though, as I definitely liked this song. Nothing just really stood out for me too much. It sucks I have to put this last. :\

Quadrochosis 5
sonatafanica 4
Gorille85 4
ravenheart 3

LieLowTheWantedMan 1

Round 2: as I write this I am listening to Black Lake Niðstång by Agalloch. Give me something that's just as dark. If you read the OP, you don't actually have to, but something like that would be cool.

jsem

1 point for AAL!?

Tempting Time is epic.
