Can't believe I hadn't seen this thread before, I absolutely adore this album. I still need to check out Graduation.

This album gets better with every listen. Lost in the World is such a perfect album closer.

I'm halfway through my first listen right now. Not really enjoying it to be honest.

Been listening to it more and more frequently since I first heard it last year, I love it more every time I listen. POWER is also way better than any King Crimson song. [/random and slightly irrelevant inflammatory comment on prog board]

But yeah, I think this almost justifies the ludicrous reviews it gets. It is amazing, and Runaway is the perfect summary of the whole album basically.

The second half was definitely better than the first, but I really didn't care much for it overall besides a few songs or parts of songs. *shrug*

For some reason I thought I was in the Devy thread, and you were talking about Deconstruction.

I was all like

Weirdly for a hip-hop album, MBDTF was a real, real grower for me. I wasn't really crazy about it after my first couple of listens, but after a bit it clicked and I understand all the love for it completely. Possibly give it another try, as I felt exactly the same as you did after my first listen.

Also: the chorus of POWER is SO. DAMN. CATCHY.
