^ I know that the full Vokle chats were recorded and available to watch, but for the sake of time, what exactly did he say about the different set? How was the original question worded ("Will there be a different set than the last U.S. tour," "Will there be a different set than the Asian tour," etc.)
https://www.vokle.com/events/63084-jordan-rudess

Question Response #5. It's easier for me to link it then to type the entire question and answer out. And just so you know, its the second half of the two-part question the guy mentions before asking.

honestly I'd shit myself if they played You Or Me... in a good way

I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

I'd really like to see:

The Glass Prison
Lost Not Forgotten
This Is The Life
Hell's Kitchen (yes, I know the odds here)
Lines In The Sand
Outcry
Beneath The Surface
The Silent Man
Take The Time
Surrounded
Learning To Live
Metropolis, Pt. 1
Innocence Faded
The Dance of Eternity

If I get any of these songs (preferably the non-ADTOE ones), then i'll be extremely happy. I already saw BAI, BITS, OTBOA, BMUBMD, and Far From Heaven the last time they came through NA, so I really want to see the rest of the album I mentioned above.

TGP, H'sK and Innocence Faded are veeeery unlikely to show up this next leg. The first is too heavy, remember that they will probably need to lighten up the non-ADTOE part of the set to cope with the inclusion of LNF. The second has never been played in a regular show (only in semi-unplugged ones), and Innocence Faded won't probably make the count as they are very likely to keep 6:00 for the rest of the tour (the song has not been played in a long time outside Europe, it's already been well reharsed already and most of all was met with a very positive reception by the european crowds). So, those three song... I wouldn't really bet on them.

Stop introducing reality.

The only thing I disagree with you on is TGP. Yes, it's heavy. But so is BITS and yet they play it. So the "it's too heavy" argument shouldn't really hold water. However, if they continue to play BITS, I would rule TGP rather unlikely. If BITS gets taken out for whatever reason, I would say TGP would have the best chance its going to get to be played (and you could probably say the same thing for War Inside My Head/The Test That Stumped Them All). They have been playing quite a bit of heavy songs over the last tour (The Dark Eternal Night, Bridges In The Sky, Outcry, The Root of All Evil, Caught In A Web, Endless Sacrifice, etc), so the inclusion of The Glass Prison could be possible and they would have time for it. It's not a 15+ minute song that would likely get passed over due to its long length. Its very possible that TGP could make its first live performance in 6 years on this tour. If you ask me, it's time they brought it back (since they have been playing pretty much everything on SDOIT except for TGP since 2006 anyway). It's really the only song on SDOIT besides the individual SDOIT movements themselves that really should get a tour or two of play before they play something else from that record.

Also, one of my friends who is just getting into DT is coming with me to two shows and he loves TGP. He went with me last year to see them in Chicago and we didn't get TGP, but Fatal Tragedy was able to make him happy with the evening. So, I really hope we can get TGP at least once out of the two shows so he can finally witness it. I've seen it once already in Cleveland in '06 and it was unreal, but I'd love to see it again, for sure.

I've already seen TGP, UAGM, PMU /sarcasm

I highly doubt they'll get rid of BITS. but i'm scared they'll switch Outcry and LNF, i'm looking foward to hearing Outcry, but would be disappointed to get LNF.

If they switch Outcry for LNF I'll be so happy.

I don't think they'll swap BITS out for a new opener but I'd prefer it. I hope they don't go too ADTOE heavy. Realistically I'm going with BitS, LNF, TitL, BAI, FFH. If I had a choice I'd only go LNF, TitL, BAI.

It just has that perfect buildup of intensity, then release of energy, very much alike how Glass Prison was when they opened with that.

The set list I'm hoping for (in that order), while still being as realistic as possible:

Bridges in The Sky
Lost Not Forgotten
Misunderstood
This is The Life
Wither
Outcry
Erotomania
Voices
The Silent Man
Far From Heaven
Breaking All Illusions
----
The Dance of Eternity
Metropolis, Pt. 1

^ Yeah, that's pretty good actually. The only thing I might swap is Erotomania (I know you have the whole suite there, but that's the only song I'm "meh" about).

Definitely too early... Maybe they could have come up with a sort of middle ground between a jam and a song, and decided to include it somewhere in the setlist. I would love that, but it's highly unlikely.

Thoughts on SDV being included, potentially?

Not on this tour, I recall James saying...

My guess:

Bridges In The Sky
6:00
A Rite Of Passage
This Is The Life
Surrounded
The Root Of All Evil
Lost Not Forgotten
Drum Solo
A Fortune In Lies
Outcry
War Inside My Head / Test
The Spirit Carries On
Breaking All Illusions
---
Far From Heaven (Beneath The Surface)
Trial Of Tears (In The Name Of God)

Come to think of it, not sure if I've seen Trial of Tears either.

And here's the setlist I would like them to put out were they ever to reprise the AEW format before this tour's over:

Bridges In The Sky
6:00
Build Me Up, Break Me Down
Peruvian Skies
Surrounded
This Is The Life
The Root Of All Evil
Drum Solo
A Fortune In Lies
Outcry
---
The Silent Ham
Beneath The Surface
---
Metropolis Pt.1
On The Backs Of Angels
Through My Words
Fatal Tragedy
Lost Not Forgotten
The Spirit Carries On
Far From Heaven
Breaking All Illusions
---
Wait For Sleep
Learning To Live

Lonestar said he could live with my previous setlist, I could die with this one  :lol

Thanks a lot Mlad ;) I put a lot of care and enthusiasm in making these dream setlists. I always enjoy making them (of course I would much more enjoy witnessing them!). This one in particular feels very right, as it covers ADTOE in its entirety, yet not as a the centerpiece of the night, which would probably result overwhelming, but scattered quite wisely as they have already done in previous leg. Furthermore, it's only made of song that have already been played or that we're 99% sure that are going to be played. So, it's entirely feasible, even though not really likely to happen for real  :D

Minus Right of Passage, this set seems very logical.  I could see Build Me Up in that third song slot.
