How cold is too cold to wear shorts?

I never wear shorts, even in the summer.

Same here - the closest I get to shorts is either capri pants or pedal pushers.

Stockholm is close to the Baltic Sea, so pressure is often fluctuating, which means fluctuating temperature and weather conditions. So it's rarely warm or cold for a longer period of time. You might have visited Stockholm during one of those temperature highs. Average daily high in January is -1 in Stockholm, and -3.4 in Tampere. Not a huge difference, but Tampere is far more inland than Stockholm, so there's an explanation for that. And Stockholm is about 200km south of Tampere. Makes a difference too. Stockholm is about as far south as Tallinn.

Same here for the most part... I do have a pair of those mesh basketball shorts that I only wear around the house when I'm feeling lazy. I just grew out of shorts for whatever reason... I used to love them when I was a kid.

My senior year of high school I made a vow to wear flip flops to school everyday. That year was the first year they were allowed, and I wore them every day. This was in the Midwest where it can get incredibly cold in the winter. There were a number of days that I regretted my vow, but I never gave in. Hey, I was a stupid teenager. But I was a senior and I thought it was cool.

So to me, rock your shorts as long as you feel comfortable.
