I only heard one song where he basically said Akerfeld was a genius and the Opeth was his favorite band and that Baying of the Hounds was the best metal song of the past decade....he said "this song is brilliant...beautiful and brutal at the same time....brutiful"

I'd probably actually agree with him, Baying of the Hounds is incredible and encompasses absolutely everything about metal within it. The other contender would be The Drapery Falls, also by Opeth.
