Woman in The Looking Glass video
« on: October 30, 2015, 01:29:05 PM »
Has anyone noticed the resemblance of the woman in the video to the young girl on the cover of I&W (also in some of their early videos)?  I was curious if this is the same person.  Anyone know?

Oh my God, you're exactly right, the resemblance is striking. I can't believe nobody noticed this so far. It might be just the resemblance, though. I'd love to see the band address this topic.

I use my sig to pimp some bands from Italy! Check out Elvenking (Power / Folk metal), Folkstone (Rock / Medieval metal), Arcana Opera (Gothic/Noir/Heavy metal) and the beautiful voice of Elisa!

That was me who posted the pic, but I very much doubt that is the same girl.  They do not look that similar to me.

Maybe it's just the resemblance, possibilities of being the same girl of I&W cover are astronomic.

Please try to find that and post it.  I still think it could be the same girl.

Well, but to be the same girl she would have to have in her resume "photo shoot as a kid, ended up on famous prog metal album" and the ones in charge of putting together the video would have to look through various "actresses for videos" lists and see her name and say "hey, this one already worked for the band, let's bring her in"... I find that very unlikely (and for it all to be a coincidence, well, the odds are impossible).

Why would DT keep in touch with a child that did a photo shoot for a cover? did she became a fan and wrote to her management "Hey, I'km the kid in the cover, if you want me for a video or something I'm avalaible"? nah...

(Anyway, couldn't find the girl, but I watched the video again... I remember the I&W girl, it's just not her)

Definitely not the same girl.
Only King could mis-spell a LETTER.
Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

For the first time (probably) since I joined DTF, I agree with Blob... huh. Usually I don't agree with anyone on anything round here.

Marillion/Fish kept in touch with the kid on the cover of the Misplaced Childhood album.  DT are not strangers to Marillion's history or how they did things.   It is not incomprehensible that as a "nugget" the same person was involved.

While I was searching in vain for the pic of the now-adult girl, I stumbled upon an interview with the cover artist, who said that the girl was brought in by a photographer, the band didn't know her.

But then again, they did know her after they "worked together" so to speak, so it's not impossible they kept in touch after all... anyway, I do remember the pic of the I&W girl and she doesn't look at all to me like the girl of the video.

I thought the girl on I&W was a drawing.
I wouldn't want somebody with 18 kids to mow my damn lawn, based on a longstanding bias I have against crazy fucks.

Yeah, the now adult I&W girl doesn't really look anything like the girl in the TLG video.

Wow, that boy that was on the Change of Seasons cover looks like he's in his 70's.
