Rules:
-Post your 5 favorite albums from 1990; the order does not matter. If you only like less than 5, list those. Just no more than 5.
-List the band name first and then the album name. Like this: Band name - Album name
-If you change your mind, edit your original post. Do not post them again.
-Only studio and live albums will be counted; no best of, compilations, etc.
-From this point on, any and all Dream Theater albums cannot be nominated. Side projects featuring DT members can be.
-Posts that you do not follow these rules will not be counted.
Nomination phase will last two days.

Dio - Lock Up The Wolves
Pantera - Cowboys From Hell
Steelheart - self titled
That's all I can think of for now, although I may edit in more as other people point them out. 91 and 92 will be the extremely difficult years for me to narrow down. Those 2 years are golden years.
-
Depeche Mode - Violator
Judas Priest - Painkiller
Megadeth - Rust In Peace
Slayer - Seasons In The Abyss
Steve Vai - Passion & Warfare
Glad to see a 90's version of this. :tup
-
Depeche Mode - Violator
Skinny Puppy - Too Dark Park
Alice in Chains - Facelift
KMFDM - Naive
-
-From this point on, any and all Dream Theater albums cannot be nominated. Side projects featuring DT members can be.
And this is why? Because I&W and Awake will just win? Maybe so, but I would wanna see how FII plays out and if there's an album to challenge it.
Anyway:
Megadeth - Rust In Peace
Pantera - Cowboys From Hell
King's X - Faith Hope Love
Steve Vai - Passion & Warfare
Queensryche - Empire
Haven't heard too much from this year. This is what I could come up with.
-
Judas Priest - Painkiller
Queensryche - Empire
Megadeth - Rust In Peace
Depeche Mode - Violator
Iron Maiden - No Prayer For The Dying
-
Death - Spiritual Healing
Megadeth - Rust in Peace
Pantera - Cowboys From Hell
Alice in Chains - Facelift
Psychotic Waltz - A Social Grace
-
Megadeth - Rust in Peace
Ozric Tentacles - Erpland
-

And Scenes. And then, once we get to the album of the 90s from all of the year winners, the final four would then be I&W, Awake, Scenes and a 4th album, the last of which wouldn't have a chance. It would make for way too many predictable outcomes. Besides, a lot of the fun is seeing all of the different albums that get nominated, seeing people maybe getting into albums they hadn't heard previously, and seeing Ravenheart throw fits when his new wave favorites don't make it very far. :P

I'm not posting this to be prickish. I just don't want you to miss out on having your nominations count so you probably should make it a list of five so your post won't be in vain.
-

i kid..
and the list is staying because the remainder albums i haven't listened to as much so

Honorable mention to Black Crowes - Shake Your Money Maker.
Also, I would like to point out that I somehow COMPLETELY neglected to mention my love for the Smithereens' 11 album in the 1989 nomination phase, despite the fact that I'd probably have been the only vote for it. No idea what I was thinking.

I get what you are saying, but when someone posts like that, with --- separating albums like that, the assumption here is that the albums below it are honorable mentions, and everything above it counts (assuming it is five or less).
Anyway, the nomination phase is over, and the results will be posted shortly.
