The bass is mixed so low in Raw Dog. It's really noticeable how you can barely hear it during the unison section. There's no low end at all!

Wow, what's with all the complaining in this thread?  This is a great instrumental.  It may not be brilliant or groundbreaking by any stretch of the imagination, but it's definitely a solid DT piece.

Mine too. Disappointing, since it's relatively easy to obtain a non-cutting off "illegal" version.  Oh well.  I paid a dollar for another inferior electronic EP from Amazon.

Honestly, Throat of Winter sounds like Mikael didn't feel like bothering the rest of the band, so he just recorded some stuff on his own!

Raw Dog is pretty good.  I'd love to see the band pull it out as a jam at the end of TDEN.

Apparently the Dutch can already buy it. Any online Dutch music stores knocking about? iTunes won't let me buy unless I'm from Holland, which is frankly fucking ridiculous. Because, as we all know, buying products from different countries is illegal. Imports? Don't exist. Made up. Dear christ that's a frustrating policy.

Getting a little impatient, seeing as it's got another week yet till it's out in the UK. I might buy it from a USA retailer tomorrow. They'll let me buy from them!

I just listened to it....I didn't like it 

I thought I would...I normally like when DT does ultra heavy (eg parts in ANTR) but it sounded really forced and uninteresting here. I will probably need the mp3 to judge better

My iTunes purchased copy of Raw Dog also cuts off at the end   In all honesty, after a few listens I thought it was intentional (ala "Pull Me Under").

I also purchased Throat of Winter; definitely a different type of tune from the Opeth boys.

Have any of you purchased any of the other tracks?  The only other one that I might be interested in is the Trivium track, but besides ol' D.T. and Opeth, I just didn't feel like bothering with the other songs...lol.

The cut off is annoying, but all we're really missing is a fade-out anyway -- so not a whole lot of difference.  Song as a whole: still trying to let it sink in.  It's cool, but there is SO MUCH going on that I feel unable to formulate an articulate description just yet.

Strange.  I just downloaded Octavarium and there are a bunch of God Of War voiceovers where the flute solo used to be.  Someone is screwing with their entire digital catalog.

Just went through my first listen of Raw Dog, it was pretty cool.  Definitely sounds like it could be part of the actual soundtrack for the game, but its just not...interesting enough beyond the first few minutes.  At least SoC had a cool main theme.  Listening to Opeth now, and I'm not sure if Mikael knew what God of War was supposed to be about...
