This is sacrilege! One of the most favorite songs for many DT lovers. Finally making its grand return and get rid of..what.. the end?? That's like quitting (ahem) sex right before the good part!   The middle?? which part?? It's all unique and fabulous.

I long for the days of standing at the Ticketmaster window after standing in line for six hours (or more) and getting a hard paper ticket from the seat you pointed to on the little map on the shelf under the half window of the ticket booth.

Anyone with me?  This "dynamic static systematic override refresh on demand" seating availability bull shit is for the fucking birds.  I hate the feeling of buying a ticket and thinking "there might be better RIGHT NOW!" I hate it.

Continuing along with the "fuck capitalism" theme, presales are a scam, too. They're simply a way to further obfuscate every step in the process. The don't offer the best seats. They don't exist for fans. They simply exist so that people will feel a sense of urgency. Come Friday you'll see many of the same seats magically appear, they'll just be shifted over a couple of seats or a couple of rows. And since there is no more face value, it's entirely possible they'll cost more. Or less.

It's really a crappy time for those of us that have always gotten off on live music.

Don't forget the VIP entrances at the MET where you can get in 30 minutes earlier instead of hanging outside for $25. Go Jive Nation!

You know, it's just sinking in that the same presale had multiple codes that accessed different seats...  I don't know, but that really doesn't sit well with me.  I'm not really on the "Ticketbastard" bandwagon - yes there are things I don't like, but most of the complaints to me are "meh, then don't buy the ticket"! - but that one seems to be rather arbitrary even for them. It doesn't seem to me that that is greed, since some people don't seem to be getting the premium seats; if I'm ready to pay money for a ticket, shouldn't I have the full suite of seats available?

That's so 25 years ago. And no I haven't bought a ticket...yet. It's Only A Matter Of Time before you board the Ticketbastard bandwagon. Though it's probably still a golf cart.

I'm kind of torn. On the one hand there are a couple of seats in the $126 tier that I wouldn't mind having. At the same time this didn't sell well at all and scalpers seem to have bought in somewhat hard. I could see this being one I get into under "face," and that always appeals to me.

I am SO in for that!

My prior 2005 car had both a CD player and a cassette deck!

In particular I would be curious to see what JR might do during the Bebot section of the solo. I kind doubt the Bebot app is still around, and given the number of toys apps JR has available to him now, I'd imagine he could come up with something far more interesting/compelling than that Bebot bit.

Interesting thought.  But even if that app no longer exists, he could largely replicate that with any number of other toys in his arsenal, so I think he would likely keep it somewhat similar.
