In my weekly reserch for new DT yt videos, today i came into this.

I guess the girl who's singing is one of his daughters.

Enjoy.

Why the hell does JP have to tell the drummer where to stop at the end of the solo?  :lol

My god his beard is slowly swallowing his face!  :lol

Awww, when I read the title, I thought it was going to be something similar to this.

It still sounds nice though.  His beard is still growing out of control if that's even possible.

The beginning of Beyond the Realms of Death didn't sound right at all.  The rest of it was pretty kickass though.

Hmm, regarding the OP video, too bad she does the annoying frills everywhere. Kinda kills it for me.

I'm not sure how I reconcile my feelings on that video. It's that damned Frozen song, but it's John Petrucci, but... I just...

Neat to see him with his family like that though.

I felt the same way. I was like cool, but it's Frozen.

Frozen's great, stop being babies.

Cool vid.

I must say, we were sitting around the tree Christmas Eve, and my oldest daughter was playing her guitar and we were singing carols.  Then she gave my youngest daughter a wink, and started playing Let It Go.  They both sang it all the way through.  I don't like the song, but that was pretty cool.

Frozen's great, stop being babies.
I think the song is fine, it sounded familiar the very first time I've heard it. It's like a perfectly engineered, carefully crafted hit. I especially like the multi-language version (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BS0T8Cd4UhA). This cover was a lot of fun to watch as well.

As for the movie, I'm puzzled how it became such a hit, it was painful to suffer through, all the characters were boring and annoying and I can't recall anything from the plot.

The song itself is the usual run-of-the-mill production tune, but the chicks behind the mic, damn, there were some nice ones in there.

Frozen was a great movie. The song's great too, although it's way better in the context of the movie than just hearing it on its own.

TAC

Quote from: wkiml on June 08, 2012, 09:06:35 AMwould have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Quote from: Stadler on February 08, 2025, 12:49:43 PMI wouldn't argue this.

I like it how the man who has enjoyed us for a long run is now enjoying with his family. Well deserved John!

You are not a 5 to 12 year old girl Sycsa. :lol
As a 16 year old boy, your age range cuts off way too early.
Even the hipster chick that hates everything can't stop quoting it.

King Postwhore

Are you going out getting your Frozen bicycle then?  I think not.

My daughter watches the shit all the time and I honestly don't mind it at all.  I think it's pretty well done, with a great twist that comes completely out of the blue - for a kids movie anyways.  Well written, catchy songs and great vocal performances.  Its no, like, Toy Story or anything, but I can definitely think of worse kids movies to suffer through.

This is a cool ass video, I should probably learn those chords for me daughter to make noise along to :D I wonder if he just hears the song once and is like 'bam, got it. sooo simpole'
