Okay, I feel like an idiot for not noticing this sooner, but I JUST realized that my DT T-Shirt, (the 25 year anniversary one from 2010 with all the album covers on the back) has the original SFNY cover design on it, the one with the burning New York skyline. Interesting.

So it's now official:  in mid-June, we're moving from Queens to Hoboken.  We'll no longer have a balcony, and therefore will have to rely on the community gas grills rather than our own charcoal grills.  Which means 2-3 weeks of....GRILLING ORGY!  In the past week, we've done:
-baby back ribs (Chinese char-su pork style)
-clams
-hot dogs covered with nacho toppings
-paella
-bahamian chicken
-the veggie side dishes for each of the above (romaine or asparagus)

Gaze upon my works, ye mortals, and despair!

Proud Papa!  Here is my daughter playing trumpet at her very first school band concert from Tuesday night.  She is in sixth grade, and I am thankful that she attends the only school in the area that ISN'T cutting the arts.  She is second from the right.  The piece was composed by two other students.

The DT-Side Chat Thread has had a long and illustrious career going back to before the start of this incarnation of the forums.  Sadly, however, it has lost its former luster over the last couple of years.  Several of the forum members who carried it to its former glory are no longer active posters, and it has failed to catch on with newer members.

This is a sad day, but before I lock it and put it away forever, I will give people a day or two to do any last posting there.

It's been a good ride.
