Really hope they do day tickets for this - Dream Theater followed by Metallica would be amazing.

Hopefully this means a couple of warm-up headlining shows as well.

genome

Epic stuff. Hope they play some different songs and not just a shortened version of the 1st European Leg.

cyberdrummer

It'll be festival-friendly songs I reckon. Expect Pull Me Under and As I Am to make an appearance.

genome

I'm glad they sorted it so they don't clash with Metallica. That would have been horrendous.

So, Dream Theater, Metallica, Karnivool, Gojira, Protest the Hero, Deftones, Devin Townsend...

Mladen

I had a feeling they would do a leg of only festivals in Europe during the summer. Which is quite possible and awesome.  :metal

GasparXR

How long would DT be playing at a festival like this, out of curiosity?

cyberdrummer

As headliners of what is essentially the second stage, I reckon it'd be around 1hr 15.

alirocker08

I got my tickets before this was even announced, icing on the cake really!

FrostbiteZ

Hell yeah  :metal :metal
I normally don't do festivals. Maiden and tallica were the primary reason why I bought tickets. With DT also coming it just got even more better  :metal :metal

The Curious Orange

Hoping for at least one UK "warm up" date (Leeds Academy?) but gotta say I think it's highly unlikely so quick on the heels of the last dates. A real shame if the Second European Leg is festivals only.

cyberdrummer

In light of the dates announced for Paris and Italy, hoping for a London club date - somewhere like The Forum or Shepherds Bush would be ideal.

jonnybaxy

Would also like a more northern date, Birmingham/Manchester/Liverpool Preferably

Leeds Festival? Because I cant see  that happening

Might get a ticket for the Dream Theater and Metallica day if there aren't any headlining shows reasonably close.

cyberdrummer

Yep, just booked for the Sunday. Metallica and DT in one day, not bad at all.

DarkLord_Lalinc

It's interesting to see The Winery Dogs in the lineup as well. I wonder if Portnoy will come across the DT guys.

Wonder if they will have MP sit in on a song with them.  Not expecting it, but that would be cool.

This. Maybe a chance for the best of times live?

I'm sure it was incredibly unlikely even if they were playing on the same day. :lol

Set times

DT have an hour. So, I reckon Enemy Inside, The Looking Glass, and Enigma Machine will be played along with perhaps OTBOA, Pull Me Under and As I Am? What does that leave us?

Laughingplace56

As I Am
The Enemy Inside
On the Backs of Angels
The Looking Glass
The Mirror/
Lie
Along For the Ride
Finally Free/Metropolis/Pull Me Under

That's about an hour. I'd imagine they'll pick 7-8 songs with most of them being from the set they'll be playing the night before/the rest of the second European tour, if not just pick all the songs from that set. I think there's a huge chance of at least Pull Me Under, As I Am or Metropolis making the cut.

?

TEI, TLG and OTBOA will be played for sure, but Enigma Machine won't, as it's an instrumental with a drum solo spot in the middle. It'll be easier to make predictions after we've seen the setlist for the first night of the second leg, but I'm pretty sure the setlist will focus on heavier and shorter songs.

wantija

So Dream Theater should be on in 2.5 hours? I'm pretty excited to hear The Enemy Inside at such a big venue like this, along with the possibility of The Mirror/Lie!

Zydar

I know some festivals have livestreams, any chance for this gig?

Mladen

Such a shame, I was hoping for a live stream as well.  :-\

mikemangioy

The setlist:

The Enemy Inside
On The Backs Of Angels
Along For The Ride
The Looking Glass
Strange Deja-Vu
The Mirror
Lie
Pull Me Under

Mladen

Yeah, they probably won't be changing the set list for this European leg of the tour. Pull me under is probably only here because this was a festival.
