Cool, did you make it yourself?

I'm a Machinist so fabrication interests me.

Mebert78

That's pretty sweet.  Nice job!

Boy, the Netherlands sure has some long license plates!

That's the usual standard in Europe :D

That would be cool, but I can imagine it being stolen off my car just because it's weird, and not a normal looking car symbol.

Aluminium... is that at all similar to aluminum? ???

I thought the same. I like it, but I wouldn´t pay more than 15-20$.

No.

When you pay that much for something custom, it is very usual that it has a lot less resell value, even if it is handcrafted. After all, it was made for you.

Anyway I really hope you find a buyer that values it as much as you did.

^That

Aluminum is worth about $1 per pound.

I guess the guy who made that believes himself to be quite the craftsman!

No offence here, but is that what you say when you buy a 40 dollar DT shirt at the merch stand , that only costs 4 dollars?
Don't forget it needs to made ....the time that get into making it.....

It would go well on my Geo Metro that I added polis to the badge... but that price is worth more than the car itself.

I should see how much my uncle, who owns a decent sized machine shop, could make me one of these for.

Gotta love how you shredded the guy's business to pieces. :lol I agree though, way to steep and I'm not crazy about the quality either (it's bent in quite a few places, it's not perfectly symmetrical in the middle and what's up with the top of the reverse "D" in the top left corner?). Looks very neat on the car though.

Now this is just friendly advice, I'm not going to beat you down for trying to get what you feel is worth to you. I would set it at a price you think is worth, the most reasonable price a DT fan might be willing to pay and also put a "Make an Offer" option, too. In my opinion, this is definitely something thats value can only be determined based on the feedback the market provides. Having the "Best Offer" option might net you more interested people, too. Bottom line is that it's a hand-made item thats used with flaws. The flip side of that is its unique and that might seem attractive to some DT fans if the price is right.

Good luck with your auction, man.

Pretty much what the above posts said.  It's a cool item, but good luck finding someone to buy it at that price.  :lol

Is it magic?  One Majesty symbol to rule them all?  Need some magic to make that price seem worthwhile......  :lol

commanderbob

Ya know, I'm not too proud to admit that I was very confused at first by what appeared to be a gigantic DT logo sitting on top of a car.  It's been along day.

My mom and dad really wanted to upgrade the house to get it ready to sell. They found that the changes that'd make it look awesome for all the yuppies around here would require ~$30,000 in material/labor but would only increase the market value by half that.

Put short: An item isn't worth the price it took for you to make it.

They should sell these on the official site.

That's not a bad idea. Maybe this is a stupid question, but how does it actually attach to the car?
It reminds me a bit of the music stand on JR's keyboard, which is a larger Majesty logo.

Double sides tape....

I have a couple of Majesty symbols custom memorabilia. One is a paperweight (majesty symbol with some sort of base) and another is a wooden/stained majesty symbol that can be hanged on the wall. The wood came from a very old barn apparently and it was crafted very nicely. I got both of them on Ebay about 10 yrs ago
