I have a habit, when I'm confused, of using the phrase "Why? Tell me the reasons why." Which, of course, is a Dream Theater lyric. Do any of you have a DT lyric that has become a regular phrase for you? If not, which lyrics would you consider using, if any?

Theme Dreater

There's a couple that I use rather frequently:
"Speak, I'm right here"
"It's just a matter of time"
In band practice when we get into circular arguments:
"This story ends where it began"

son_ov_hades

I'm fond of saying "Just close your mind You can find all you need with your eyes" to stupid people.

Kotowboy

Whenever I go to McDonalds and they ask me what I want I go :

" Why do I feel so numb
Is it something to do with where I come from
Should this be fight or flight
I don't know why I'm constantly so uptight  "

And they're always like :

" Is that to eat here or to take away ? :) "

GentlemanofDread

"Hold on now, wait a minute, just let me catch my breath.."

Sacul

When I meet an old friend that lives far from here "Tell me, how you live from day to day?"

TheGreatPretender

I usually just use DT lyrics to wax philosophical. Like, I'd say, "The story ends where it began" or "Sex is death," or something of the sort.

Android_D

I just don't understand.

Now wait a minute man, that's not how it is! You must be confused.

Laughingplace56

I say "6:00 on a Christmas morning" anytime someone mentions something happening at 6:00.
If someone says they need a mirror i say "look in the mirror, my friend"

That is epic  :tup

Another_Won

How about "An enigmatic union of esoteric thought"?

I can tell you from experience it doesn't fit well into the conversation.

Onno

I'd go with either "EVERYONE SURVIVED! ROAAAAAAR!" or "ALL THE FINEST WINES IMPROVE WITH AGE!"

PolarizeMe

I say "I think it's time for CHAAAAAAAAAAAAANGE!!!" whenever I feel there's change in the air.

VincentMDO

Last week, I said 'Wow, what a dramatic turn of events!" for a proper situation. Even though english in not the main language here, some stranger recognized and said: "Is this Dream Theater?"
And I said "Sure!"  :yarr

I work in retail, so at least once a month I get to say INVENTORY!

There are many times when I feel like quoting Dream Theater, but don't because I know no one will get it.

Say this to the shopkeeper when you hand a tenner over.

Last week, I played "Pull Me Under" on a toy guitar in a shop and said "I can replace my whole rig with this". Even though English is not the main language here, some stranger recognized and said: "Is this Dream Theater?"
And I said "Yeah! Yeah, it is:yarr
fixed that for you

My mom once told me about a relative of hers who always expected everyone to behave kindly to him, even though he was not that friendly himself, and I said "respect is not a one-way street" :P

"If I hurt your feelings then I'm really sorry, but I don't give a shit......noooooooooo!"  :p

Lolzeez

"Now wait a minute man, that's not how it is."

dt2014

Fits into every discussion about meaning of life:
Where did we come from?
Why are we here?
Where do we go when we die?

Nefarius

I've caught myself talking about experiencing a strange deja vu (or "ein seltsames Deja Vu" in German) at work.
Lucky me a co-worker sitting only a few meters away from me is a DT fan too, so he noticed and laughed.

Greetings...
