LTE mellows; Hourglass or State Of Grace?

As the songs are similarly inspired, which one do you prefer?

Hourglass, but I prefer State of Grace from An Evening with JP&JR over both.

Should be in GMD, but still went for State of Grace. Achingly beautiful!

Both are pretty sweet, but I prefer State of Grace. 

I don't think Hourglass' placement on LTE2 does it any favorites either, as it felt almost like a throw-on at the end, following up all of those long songs.

That's such a tough choice to make.  They are both beautiful pieces of music but I'll probably say SoG since I heard it first and learned how to play it first. 

Just a sidenote, the first 2-3 minutes of Freedom of Speech tops both of these choices.

Cheesy? I always thought Hourglass was gorgeous, and a standout in JPs playing. Really the only time I can think of he does 100% finger style, and is not too bad at it.

State of grace is the first song that I've heard from JP and JR (one year ago). and the first time I heard it I couldn't believe such musicians exist, and from there I became  their fan. Whenever I listen to this song it just lifts my spirit off this world.
