I work in a large nightclub capable of holding several thousand people. We are now more of a concert hall than a nightclub. We've had Mother's Finest, Styx, 38 Special, REO Speedwagon, Stryper, Skid Row, ARS, Foreigner, and lots of other bands like that, and I feel sure we'd be a big enough venue for Dream Theater. There are a couple of us who work there that would LOVE!!! to have them play here. Does anyone know who to contact about it, before they get too entirely booked up in the US, if they're not already? I tried looking that info up before but all the "leads" turned out to be bogus. Does anyone know who to really get in touch with to find out if it's still possible to get them to play at our place?

Maybe you could contact RoadRunner and ask them for info.

I wouldn't mind if DT stopped booking The Orpheum here in Boston and went for something else. The acoustics are terrible in that place.

You need to talk to whoever does the booking at the club.  They should be able to take care of it.

Is that their production company, or transportation company or something?

I've mentioned it to him several times in the past but he doesn't seem to be very interested, meaning if he even would book them at all I don't think he would be willing to put much effort into it. He's not convinced they would bring in a good crowd, but I've talked to people in several of the local bands that played here and they said they feel DT would have a good turnout. If I can find out exactly who to contact for sure, and give that to the man I'm referring to, then he might be more inclined to make some calls about it. They might already be booked in our area too, but if not and we get them and they have a decent turnout, that might encourage the booking guy to get more prog type bands. So far the closest we've had is Kansas which is prog imo, though not in the same way DT is of course.

;D  - it's their record label.

It's probably based on the size of the town. If you live in a small city, you're probably out of luck, no matter the venue.

No, it's in the Atlanta area and I feel sure they will play someplace around here. I'd just like for it to be at our place instead of somewhere else. I saw them in town on the Images and Words tour and the place they played then was much smaller than our room. I don't know how much bigger a crowd they would draw now, but several people I've talked to have said they think they would have a good turnout. Our place will hold about 4 thousand people, so it would probably be adequate for them.

SystematicThought

I think they played at The Tabernacle last time they played in Atlanta

I guess the reality is how much your club is willing to pay.
