At what time can I listen to it in Amsterdam time?
Welcome to the forums, fellow Dutchie (well, I assume you're Dutch  :lol)!

One thing that's puzzling me is the fact of streaming the whole album... I wonder why...

It'll be a dangerous decision. I'm sure that unfortunelly there will be some piracy...

let's hope not...

Of course there will be some piracy and that's exactly the reason they decided to do this
They've controlled this much more than I actually expected and it's a real win for them :)

Location for the stream later (I don't know if this will work outside the UK): https://www.progrockmag.com/news/dream-theater-stream-new-album-here-today/

It worked for me for TEI. Typing from Rome.

I thought that they'll be streaming on Soundcloud...

For TEI, progrockmag put a Soundcloud link to it.

Right. I figured that it would be on soundcloud. I'm wondering if they're putting a one track with the whole album on it or if the tracks will be divided...

Really anxious to hear it. 5 hours left to wait...

cyberdrummer

It's 2pm GMT, so 3pm UK time. I've updated the OP with those details.

Filipe_metalhead

The album will be streamed at 10 a.m at EST and at 3 p.m at GMT

I´m guessing you´re Brazilian...it will be around 10am Brasilia time. And I´ll be at work, in a meeting!  :-[ :-[ :'( >:( >:(

What's the difference between GMT and UK time? And what the hell is BST?  :omg:

Dream Theater. Educating their fans about time zones since 2013.

BST is British Summer Time. Basically what timezone they are in during daylight savings.

Ah, ok...so it´ll be closer to the UK time, right?

By the way, I just heard a poor quality broadcast of The Looking Glass...it sounds GREAT, and has an early DT vibe. It reminded me of Innocence Faded a little bit, but I like it much more.

BST (British Summer Time) = GMT+1. It's what we use here between March and October.

Therefore UK time will be 3pm BST, and 2pm GMT.

Simple.  :lol

Waaait a second, since it's still summer time over here as well, and we're one hour behind GMT, the stream starts in 3,5 hours right?

I'm so sorry to say this. But since the new song was played on the Radio (American radio), I think that it's a bit fair to put a link here so foreign fans who live in countries that don't even have a metal radio station (like my own country). I think we have the right to know new music. Regardless of the countries were in. But I agree with you. Just saying that sometimes there should be exceptions...

Damnit, I don't like it :(

Guess my rooted love for songs in Minor keys would rather hear something different. Can see people loving it but very unfortunately, it's not my thing.

I do like the songwriting though. Sounds very mature.

I just woke up feeling for the first time in years like a kid on Christmas. I'm still very excited, but I kinda wish I didn't listen. Honestly a bit less excited now.   :sadpanda:

Just to confirm
that link provided in the OP, will that work for us fans in the US?

John94

I'm going to give this a miss. I initially didn't want to listen to TEI more than 3 times. Times that by three for the actual count.

Didn't want to listen to AFTR, listened to it twice.

I definitely don't want to listen to it in full before it comes out.

I hope I resist.

stellarnight

3 more hours  :metal

Would be a good listen before i fall asleep. (Will be 10pm by the time the stream starts)

Just out of curiosity, how is this illegal? It's an audio stream of a JP interview where a new song is disclosed. Did DT NOT want us to hear it? I can't see this as being any more illegal than posting a link to an interview with band members, which is done on an almost daily basis here.
