That was amazing to read. So many interesting tidbits about each song. My excitement level for IT went especially up.

Pretty good interview. I thought it would be yet another track-by-track that said exactly the same as the previous ones, but John certainly gives a different insight to the album. This one really favored The Looking Glass's description, I think.

I have to say, I'm actually pretty nervous about Illumination Theory at this point.  The more I think about a section without any instruments in the middle of an epic, the more I worry that it's going to ruin the song for me.  Don't get me wrong, I'm not discounting the song or assuming it's gonna suck, but... I am skeptical about the execution of that particular section. 

I look forward to being proven wrong and eating my words, though.

About Raw Dog time was when I started getting vibes that there was trouble brewin' in the DT camp.

It seemed such a wasted opportunity for massive exposure and then you leave off your singer and do an instrumental
that sounds like parts of the latest album. The whole thing was a head scratcher from a long time fans perspective.

So the Bigger Picture was formed from an unused idea for The Enemy Inside... A peaceful and melodic song stemming from an aggressive beast. Should be interesting to see if we can hear how one could have been part of the other.

They should have done that with A Nightmare To Remember.
