I love the way JP thinks and sees the world around him.

LOL @ the random hands falling question. :lol

Grammy.com: As Dream Theater make more albums and keep getting more complex, will your hands eventually fall off in concert?
JP: I really hope not. [laughs] That would be horrible.

I love JP.

I'm surprised that question came from someone at GRAMMY.com.

Fantastic interview, by the way.  :tup

I'm surprised he didn't mention BTS, since Along For the Ride is a sequel to it

JP being JP, just classy.

He really is. I mean, even as a person, you have this feeling he has this very personal and deep approach to whatever he's doing. As a musician, oh well, his guitar speaks for him.

I love his response to one of the first questions, the one about how fans are concerned that the music is more catchy. His example about musical mentally when it comes guitar players being technical or playing with feeling is exactly how I feel.

I whish more people were like Petrucci. He seems so respectful, genuine, intelligent, humble and has a great sense of humor. At the same time he is one of the greatest guitarists that has walked on this earth. He is a treasure!

This, plus the fact that sometimes it can be hard to introduce friends to this band because of their reputation for being guys that can play really well - which clearly means they don't know how to write great pieces of music.  ::)

Agreed with the two posts above. And great interview, yes :tup
