JLB DT12 Appreciation

Does anyone else feel JLB takes it to a new level of awesomeness on this album?  Like holy s***, his voice just sounds so amazing in so many parts of the album. 

What are your favourite JLB moments on DT12? 

For me, the outro of The Bigger Picture gives me goosebumps, his voice is so gentle yet powerful here.

Yea when I first listened to BITS, the voice really stuck out, I had just never heard anything like it anywhere else. It was similar to some other DT songs, but it was just so thick I couldn't stop listening to it. Now, I think that sound comes from JLB's already immense voice, and then it being overdubbed possibly even more than just once.

Now as far as I can tell, on the new album I think his voice is overdubbed like that every note of the album with all of his different emotions, so it really really sounds great. And the singing is generally a little bit higher than ADTOE too.

But other than that, he use has so much control over what comes out of his voice, it never gets old to listen to his infinite style.

...no? Well JLB does really good on Enigma Machine!

But honestly, he does do pretty good on this album, now that I think about it.

JLB's been always amazing at studio recording but now he is even more amazing because, thankfully and finally JP and JR write great vocal melodies that fit JLB's voice.

Thank you! It is exactly what I think too. Good songs suited to JLB's voice at last. We saw  it on ADToE already but it's even better on DT.
