What a day.
Opened my e-mails when I got home from work this afternoon and got this.

Congratulations, you have won a pair of tickets for the Dream Theater album play back party on Thursday night.

Many thanks,

:omg:

Apparently John Petrucci and James will be in attendance.
Just spent the last 2 hours booking hotel and train tickets to get me to London.
I have removed the venue address but will give you all a report of what goes on when I get back home.
I still can't believe my luck.

Not sure if intended innuendo, but I'll award you one :zydar: for effort.

I laughed way too hard at this :lol

Well, even if you have to sign a heavy nondisclosure agreement, you can at least tell us where the album ranks for you.  ;D

cyberdrummer

Yeah for sure, but obviously it'll be difficult to rank it after just one listen.

Yeah, not only will it be hard to rank after one listen, the environment you will hear it in will probably alter your opinion as well.

Think about it... Me listening to a DT record for the first time alone at my house would probably result in a different reaction than me listening to a DT record for the first time at a Road Runner listening party with a bunch of other fans and JP and JLB there!!  Even if I wasn't too keen on the tunes, I'd probably be so excited due to the environment, I'd hype the music up in my mind and probably alter my first impression of the record overall.
