And to add to Bosk's point, a lot of concert promoters look for "sale numbers and chart positions" to see how much of a risk will they take when booking a band. So, for concert promoting purposes, having DT rank up high in the charts would be beneficial.

That's true, but we also like to see DT do as well on the billboard charts while sticking to their guns and releasing the music they want. It's just a nice bonus to see DT get a little bit of more public exposure. Just like the Grammy nomination. Nobody here really cared about the Grammys, it's just nice to see DT get wider recognition. :)

Exactly this.

I don't care about the grammy's either.  But they were thrilled!

I bet anybody would be thrilled if it was their band up there in the spotlight.

You think I give a damn about a Grammy
Half of you critics can't even stomach me, let alone stand me
"But Slim, what if you win, wouldn't it be weird"
Why? So you guys could just lie to get me here
So you can sit me here next to Britney Spears
S***, Christina Aguilera better switch me chairs
So I can sit next to Carson Daly and Fred Durst
And hear 'em argue over who she gave head to first

Eminem

Oh man  :rollin  I'll be singing that for the rest of the day!  By the way, how many more names could now be switched for Carson and Fred I wonder? :justjen

On topic... I'd love to see DT chart well again... if any band in the industry deserves continued success, it's DT.  :tup
