Thanks :) I must have everything wrapped up 13 days from now, so it will indeed be. I had stressful moments in my studying life (like six exams in one month), but I feel this is going to beat them all. But this could also be the moment I have the chance to rise higher than ever before. I can definitely immedesimate in the lyrical theme behind the songs of DTDT James mentioned.

@Hef: yeah, the beardless is Anàrion. The poor lad who died in the siege of Barad Dur in 3440SA IIRC.

Cool, I wasn't sure which was which.

In fairness, I have a beard.

I actually don't look THAT different from my avatar. I have brown hair and blue/green eyes. I would just say Aeris is prettier than I am.

JoeG

I don't look anything like my avatar. It just accurately represents my surroundings ~50% of the time .

Anything exciting new in the last 24h? I've been at the hospital with my wife, still there.

Thanks, I was feeling really down yesterday, so I called it a day very early, at midnight or just earlier.  But I woke up at 6. I had troubled dreams too. I was to record a bootleg (you may think otherwise, but bootleg dreams are very rare to me, just had them twice with this time) and the batteries of my device were low. So I basically run in the streets of my city (the concert was in a place) in the rain to find a battery. I would always come across semi-dangerous places or shop owned by questionable-looking people. Two of them would try to sell me a thai battery for 5,79€, unless I could find a hidden redeem code in the internet that would have brought the price down to 0,79€.

You see what happens to a stressed mind? By the way, I love being able to remember my dreams in such a detailed fashion when I wake up. :)

ETA: Yes, I heard part of Enigma Machine in the dream. For the record, it was something like Dream Theater meets 14th century happy music, which is why I realized I must have been dreaming, since even in my sleep I know EM sounds nothing like that.

?

Pfft, don't try to fool us... We know you dream about bootlegs every night!

Seriously, I rarely remember anything about my dreams when I wake up. Maybe it's better that way? :lol

wasteland

I don't know, but I think it's a good thing to remember them. I haven't been scared by my dreams for years, and I have scary dreams in the early part of my sleep nearly every night. The last really bad dream happened years and years ago, and of course I perfectly remember it.

The good thing is that most of the time they are funny, absurd and would make a good plot for a humorous-surreal short story. The scary ones are even more interesting because make me more aware of my fears in a very visual way, like the driving nightmares. Recently I have been scary-dreaming of an hotel/residence somewhere in northern Italy (the shape of it is a mix between hotels I've been to, something unknown and an estate I used to go every summer until a few years ago). As of today I still have to make sense of what's behind it.

You see, you may discover something you don't know, but it's a ride, and it's always worth it to go along for the ride. :)

I obviously have a moustache and a cute haircut :P

It would be fun if everyone tried to look like the person in their avatar and posted a pic :D

everyone else can go first, I'm not gonna be grinning with a lightbulb in my hand

I don't think I'll ever look like a flying teapot, but I am pretty sure I could function as one, or at least contain a lot of tea.

You're trapped in a clock 50% of the time?
He's probably a watchmaker.
yes, reference intended

For the record, we would like to see either of those.

:rollin

No clocks for me. Just a combination of mechanical engineering student, machining, and robotics hobby work.

Whatsername

My mom is reading the novelization of Clockwork Angels. She had no idea it was an album or anything. :lol

GentlemanofDread

Whatsername recommended it/Randomly found it in a bookstore amongst the million lesser books around it?

Whatsername

Not sure. I know she's into fantasy novels, so maybe she saw the word steampunk and was interested. She might have also thought it was related to A Clockwork Orange (it might be, I have no idea).

Gut pains all day. Suffered, took paracetamol and listened to my healing song, Trial of Tears. Been painful.

Whatsername

I'm sorry, GoD. That sounds awful.

I left work early because I had a migraine. Couldn't listen to Dream Theater on my commute because sound made it worse. :\

wasteland

Waking up early always upsets me. I can't even type a post straight...

?

I've woken up at around 7 AM every morning in the past few days, but yesterday I travelled back to my family and I've been awake for 20 minutes or so now. Fridays are especially awesome for me now because I don't have to go to school on those days :metal

Whatsername

Lucky! In a few weeks I'll be in the same boat! Getting up at the crack of dawn Mondays and Tuesdays, and then 8:30 for my other two days of school, and probably noon on the weekends. :lol

Onno

Yay, weekend! First thing tomorrow: writing an essay on the formation of the Moon  :lol

wasteland

Interesting topic. What's the leading theory nowadays? The giant impact event?

I can almost hear the young Earth singing after the impact:
